Gumballers can commission a unique model of their rally car in either its pristine pre-rally spec or as a post-rally masterpiece, complete with authentic ‘patina’ that echoes every mile and mark made across the 3,000-mile route. Each model takes thousands of hours—around 4,000 just to develop—and hundreds of handcrafting hours by Amalgam’s master artisans to bring each piece to life in remarkable detail.
Working closely with Gumball 3000’s founder Maximillion Cooper, Amalgam has designed this bespoke programme to encapsulate the spirit of adventure and excitement unique to the rally. The process behind each model is painstaking: starting with detailed CAD data, digital scans, and hundreds of original photographs, Amalgam crafts precise moulds and casts parts in resin and metal. Every 1:8 or larger scale model can include thousands of exquisite components, from carefully matched paint and decals to engineered moving parts—all assembled by hand across their teams in Bristol, Hungary, and China.
