Guy Martin, the fearless speed junkie from Grimsby, is on a relentless mission to etch his name in the record books AGAIN by smashing the 300mph mark on a motorcycle. While the 300mph club is usually a domain for four-wheeled monsters, Martin wants to prove that two wheels can own that territory too with his heavily modified Suzuki Hayabusa, known as Project 300.
We’re hitting 300mph from a standing start, all within one mile. The bike itself started as a battered, seven-year-old road bike bought for a modest sum, but after years of turbocharging, engine work, and aerodynamics overhaul, it now cranks out over 830bhp
After multiple career-threatening crashes and a famously fearless racing mindset, Guy openly admits that going this fast “is only for those willing to die for it.” Every run is a walk between breaking records and breaking bones. Even the suit he wears is custom-built with thick leather and advanced airbags to give him some hope of survival at speeds where a moment’s failure means catastrophe.
His personal best so far? A staggering 282mph reached during testing. But 300mph remains the holy grail. Guy’s pushing the boundaries of speed, human endurance and mechanical limits.
