Triumph Motorcycles just dropped a fresh knockout with the 2026 Trident 800, a naked roadster designed to dominate the middleweight segment with pure, no-nonsense performance. Building on its wildly popular Trident 660 and Street Triple 765 RS, Triumph’s latest triple now punches at 113 horsepower from a sophisticated 798cc inline-three engine, delivering instant throttle response and a surge of mid-range torque that demands attention every time you twist the throttle.

Underneath the muscular, stripped-back frame is a high-spec steel perimeter chassis borrowed and upgraded from the Tiger Sport 800, married to adjustable Showa suspension that keeps the ride razor-sharp yet forgiving. The steel frame packs agility and confidence, unfolded through a steeper 24.5-degree rake and precision geometry tweaks that sharpen cornering without sacrificing stability. Plug in the rider aids lean-sensitive Optimised Cornering ABS, cornering traction control, and Triumph Shift Assist and you have technology that enhances the ride while staying out of the way.

Triumph has outfitted the Trident 800 with premium touches, from its twin 310mm front discs gripped by 4-piston radial calipers to a refined exhaust system that pipes out the iconic triple soundtrack through an upswept sports can. Bluetooth connectivity and cruise control round out the package, offering a modern twist on raw riding fun.

Price-wise, the Trident 800 steps up to about £9,195 at launch, positioning itself in direct territory against the Street Triple R and rivals like the Yamaha MT-09 and Kawasaki Z900. Compared to the Trident 660, it’s a serious upgrade both in terms of engine muscle and chassis sophistication perfect for riders craving more character and on-road thrills without stepping into heavyweight territory.

Orders are open now, with deliveries expected early 2026, making the Trident 800 a fresh challenger for anyone wanting a nimble, tech-savvy, and powerful urban streetfighter from a brand that knows triples.
