The new Ferrari EV is expected to be similar in size to the Purosangue SUV but with a more aerodynamic, rakish silhouette. It looks likely to have rear doors, suggesting it will comfortably seat at least four passengers—a first for an electric Ferrari.
Maranello’s CEO Benedetto Vigna confirmed Ferrari will reveal details on the car’s “technological heart” on October 8, with interior and full form unveiled early next year. The EV will be produced in Ferrari’s recently opened ‘E-building,’ a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to electric powertrain components like motors, batteries, and e-axles.
Reports suggest the electric Ferrari will start at around $500,000, positioning it among elite electric supercars like the Audi RS e-tron GT and Porsche Taycan Turbo S. Ferrari aims to produce key components in-house to maintain driving excitement without resorting to artificial sound effects, instead enhancing the natural electric motor sounds inside the cabin.
This marks Ferrari’s bold step into electrification, combining its signature performance focus with cutting-edge electric technology to offer a new kind of prancing horse for the EV era. The world awaits October 8 for the first official details on this highly anticipated Ferrari electric model.
