It was then exported to South Africa in 1954, changing hands multiple times until it was eventually purchased by the current owner's father in 1982. The car remained a cherished possession, cruising the streets of St. Gallen until 2011 when restoration became necessary. Renowned Jaguar restorer Georg Donni was entrusted with the task and during the meticulous restoration process, the car's significant early history was discovered.
