British EV Startup Sees Promising Demand for New Model at London Event
A newly launched British electric vehicle company saw an encouraging initial response to its debut model at an exclusive automotive exhibition held in London's famous Savile Row this week.

CALLUM, the EV startup behind the "multi-terrain" SKYE vehicle, reported receiving double-digit orders for the electric crossover on the second day of the Concours on Savile Row event on Wednesday. This came just one day after officially unveiling the SKYE to attendees.

The two-day Concours on Savile Row provides a unique setting, combining prestigious automotive displays with the renowned bespoke tailoring that has made the Mayfair street world-famous. Amid the suits and supercars, the SKYE managed to turn heads and open wallets.

"We're absolutely thrilled by the initial interest and orders for the SKYE at its world premiere here in London," stated CALLUM founder Ian Callum. "It validates our vision of creating a true all-terrain, all-electric vehicle with a quintessentially British design flair."

While specific order numbers were not disclosed, the double-digit sales provide an early boost for the fledgling automaker looking to carve out a niche in the increasingly competitive electric vehicle market. Pricing and delivery timelines for the SKYE have not yet been announced.

The Concours on Savile Row runs through Thursday, giving CALLUM another opportunity to showcase its debut model alongside other luxury and performance cars from established marques. A strong follow-up showing could further build momentum for the upstart British EV brand.
