Ferrari built 599 examples of the 812 Competizione A. All went to invitation only clients who already owned multiple Ferraris. The cars were allocated before announcement. If you weren't on the list, you weren't getting one.

One of those 599 cars is crossing the auction block at RM Sotheby's ModaMiami on February 27, 2026. The estimate: $2.5 million to $2.8 million. The original owner paid $852,420 to configure it in 2023, according to Carscoops and Robb Report.

The odometer shows 80 miles. That's 129 kilometers. Delivery mileage. The car has never been driven. Three years of appreciation generated a $1.6 to $1.9 million profit for doing absolutely nothing except owning the right car and leaving it untouched.

Welcome to modern Ferrari collecting, where the best investment strategy is buying what you're invited to buy and never using it.

The Specs That Justify The Price

The 812 Competizione A isn't just an 812 Superfast with a removable roof panel. It's the track focused, naturally aspirated V12 swan song that Ferrari will probably never build again.

The 6.5 liter V12 produces 819 horsepower at 9,250 rpm. Redline hits 9,500 rpm. That's higher than most motorcycle engines. It's the most powerful naturally aspirated engine Ferrari ever put in a road car, per multiple RM Sotheby's auction descriptions.

Zero to 62 mph happens in 2.85 seconds. Top speed reaches 211 mph. The Fiorano lap time of 1 minute 20 seconds puts it behind only the SF90 XX, SF90 Stradale, and LaFerrari among Ferrari road cars. That's exceptional company.

Independent four wheel steering provides agility no front engine car should possess. Extensive aerodynamic upgrades including carbon fiber finned hood, rear buttresses, and active aero elements generate downforce levels normally seen only on mid engine layouts.

The A designation means Aperta, Italian for open. The removable carbon fiber targa roof panel stows behind the seats. You get naturally aspirated V12 theater with wind in your hair at 9,500 rpm. Ferrari built 999 hardtop Competizione coupes and only 599 Aperta versions.

This is likely the last naturally aspirated V12 Ferrari. Everything after adopts hybrid assistance or forced induction. The 812 Competizione and Competizione A represent the end of an era spanning decades. That finality drives collector demand.

The Configuration Game

The owner who paid $852,420 in 2023 knew exactly what they were doing. The spec includes nearly $150,000 in options carefully selected to maximize future value.

Rosso Corsa paint. The classic Ferrari red that defines the brand. Nero and Argento Nurburgring racing stripe running center. Aggressive but tasteful. Scuderia shields on the front fenders. Apple CarPlay because even seven figure Ferraris need smartphone integration. Red brake calipers visible through exposed carbon fiber wheels.

The interior combines Rosso and Nero Alcantara across seats and dashboard. Even the trunk is lined in bright red Alcantara, which is impractical but visually striking. The carbon fiber components are extensive. Wheels, air vents, door handles, instrument cover, parcel shelf. Everything that could be carbon fiber is carbon fiber.

The total configuration invoice hit $852,420. That's $150,000 over base price in options. Every choice was deliberate. Classic Ferrari red. Subtle racing stripe. Maximum carbon. The spec appeals to traditional Ferrari collectors while incorporating enough modern touches to feel current.

Three years later, that carefully configured car is worth triple what the owner paid. Maybe more depending on bidding. The configuration strategy worked perfectly.

The Market Has Gone Completely Insane

Classic.com tracks auction results for 812 Competizione variants. The highest recorded sale reached $2,040,000 for a 2024 model in August 2025. The lowest was $850,000 for a 2022 example in November 2025. Average sale price sits at $1,468,679.

That's nearly double the original price on average. Some examples trade for triple. This particular 812 Competizione A could reach $2.8 million, which is 3.3 times what the owner paid.

The appreciation isn't universal. Automotive coverage from sites like GaukMotorBuzz.com has documented how spec, mileage, and provenance dramatically affect values. A poorly configured example with 5,000 miles might sell near original price or below. A perfectly specced delivery mileage car commands massive premiums.

This creates perverse incentives. Buy a $850,000 Ferrari. Never drive it. Sell three years later for $2.5 million. Or buy the same Ferrari, actually use it, accumulate 10,000 miles, and sell for $1.2 million while absorbing depreciation and maintenance costs.

The market rewards not using the car. Collectors treat Ferraris like trading cards. Mint condition unopened original packaging commands premiums. Once you remove the wrapper, value drops.

Multiple dealers now advertise 812 Competizione and Competizione A examples with under 300 miles for $1.8 to $2.2 million. Every listing emphasizes delivery mileage, single owner, never tracked, full PPF, climate controlled storage. The cars exist as investments first, vehicles second.

Ferrari Created This Market Deliberately

The invitation only allocation system ensures limited production goes to existing loyal clients. Those clients already own multiple Ferraris. They understand the game. Buy the allocation. Don't drive it. Flip it for profit or hold until values peak.

Ferrari could build more 812 Competizione variants. Demand exceeds 599 units for the Aperta version. But artificial scarcity drives values. If Ferrari built 5,000 Competizione As, they'd sell near MSRP on the used market. Building only 599 creates instant collectibility.

The strategy works because Ferrari maintains prestige through exclusivity. Porsche builds 30,000 GT3s. Ferrari builds 599 Competizione As. Porsche GT3s are accessible to anyone with money. Ferrari Competizione As require invitation. That invitation carries value independent of the car.

Gord Duff, president of RM Sotheby's, told Robb Report the 812 Competizione is "a defining car for Ferrari. It is one of the last naturally aspirated V12 road cars from Maranello, and for many collectors, that matters."

The naturally aspirated V12 finality is real. Emissions regulations and efficiency mandates make these engines economically unviable going forward. Every manufacturer is downsizing, turbocharging, or electrifying. The 812 Competizione represents the end of an era that began in the 1960s.

But the scarcity is artificial. Ferrari chose to build 599 Aperta variants when they could have built 2,000. The limited production creates speculation that inflates values beyond what performance or engineering justify.

The Tailor Made Premium

A separate 812 Competizione hardtop configured through Ferrari's Tailor Made program is also hitting RM Sotheby's ModaMiami auction February 27. Original price: $910,390. Current estimate: $1.8 to $2 million, per Robb Report coverage.

That car shows 2,361 miles. Significantly more use than the 80 mile Aperta. The estimate is lower despite Tailor Made designation and extensive customization. Mileage kills value even when it's barely broken in by normal standards.

2,361 miles is nothing. Most car buyers would consider that new. But in Ferrari collecting, it's used. Driven. No longer pristine. The market treats 2,361 miles dramatically different from 80 miles despite both being delivery mileage in practical terms.

The Tailor Made designation adds prestige. Customers commissioning Tailor Made cars get unlimited color and material options beyond standard configurator choices. They work directly with Ferrari designers to create one off specifications. The process costs significantly more than selecting from preset options.

Yet this Tailor Made 812 Competizione with nearly 2,400 miles estimates lower than the standard configured 80 mile Aperta. Mileage matters more than Tailor Made designation. Untouched condition trumps custom configuration.

What Happens At The Auction

The 80 mile 812 Competizione A will either sell within estimate, below estimate, or trigger a bidding war that pushes it above $2.8 million. Recent auction results suggest strong demand continues despite broader economic uncertainty.

If it hits $2.8 million, the original owner walks away with $1.947 million profit after RM Sotheby's takes roughly 12 to 15 percent buyer's premium and seller's commission. That's $649,000 per year for three years. For owning a car and not using it.

The winning bidder gets a delivery mileage Ferrari that will never be driven because driving it destroys value. They'll store it climate controlled, display it occasionally, and flip it in three to five years for whatever the market will bear.

Or they'll actually use the car, accumulate miles, and watch value crater relative to untouched examples. That's the choice. Investment or experience. In modern Ferrari collecting, you rarely get both.

The Broader Insanity

This isn't unique to Ferrari. Porsche 911 GT3 RS and GT2 RS models appreciate immediately. Lamborghini limited editions flip for double MSRP before delivery. Ford GT buyers signed contracts prohibiting resale within two years specifically to stop flipping.

The manufacturers hate it and encourage it simultaneously. They hate flipping because it makes allocation systems look like insider trading opportunities for wealthy collectors rather than ways to reward loyal customers. They encourage it by building fewer cars than demand supports, creating artificial scarcity that guarantees appreciation.

Ferrari particularly perfected the model. Build invitation only limited editions. Allocate to existing clients who own 5 to 10 Ferraris already. Those clients either keep the cars as investments or flip them for massive profits to people who weren't invited.

Regular buyers who'd actually use the cars never get access. The secondary market is their only option. They pay double MSRP or more for something that should cost $850,000 but instead costs $2.5 million because Ferrari intentionally limited production below demand.

The 812 Competizione A going to auction this week represents that system functioning exactly as designed. An invited buyer configured a car perfectly. They never drove it. Three years later it's worth triple the purchase price. Someone will pay that premium to own a 599 production naturally aspirated V12 Ferrari with 80 miles.

Then they won't drive it either. Because driving it destroys the value they just paid $2.8 million to acquire.

The car exists. It functions. It's capable of extraordinary performance. But its highest value comes from remaining unused. That's the investment thesis. Pristine condition. Delivery mileage. Never tracked. Never really driven. Maximum future value.

The owner who paid $852,420 in 2023 understood this perfectly. They bought an allocation, configured it for maximum appeal, drove it 80 miles, and sold it for potentially $2.8 million.

That's not car enthusiasm. That's arbitrage wearing a prancing horse badge.

And the market rewards it every single time.

As we rid our minds of January and begin to focus on all the good car stuff that might happen in 2026, there’s a new 911 Turbo S to be excited about. Driven towards the end of 2025 and arriving in the UK imminently, the 992.2 promises to be one of the best cars of this year. As the super duper 911s so often are. Nevertheless, it is now a £200,000 prospect, and that feels like a significant threshold for the flagship rear-engined Porsche to have breached. To those of us who can’t keep up with the cost of cars, that still feels like supercar money for ‘just’ a 911 (supercars now, as the Lamborghini Temerario has demonstrated, are the best part of £400,000).

Probably the new car will put paid to a lot of those configurator doubts with the driving experience, because that’s what the best 911s tend to do - although you wouldn’t be alone in seeing a £200k Turbo S and wondering about alternatives. Because once the 911 Turbo was above 500hp and came as standard with a PDK, it really established itself as the all-season, all-scenario supercar above all others. A new Turbo S will be faster and better than this one, no doubt, but there won’t be a gulf. And this one won’t be £200,000…

It’s a 2016 992.1 Turbo, so that means 540hp, 0-62mph in three seconds, and a top speed close enough to 200mph not to make much difference. Introduced at the end of 2015, it introduced new turbos and Dynamic Boost for the flat-six, plus standard Sport Chrono and PASM. It looked familiar, and offered up a familiar 911 Turbo feel: totally agreeable as required, and totally ballistic when that was needed as well. A 2+2 tourer and supercar scarer, all in one.

This particular Turbo is one of the first 992.1s, on a ‘16’ plate. Having begun its life in Germany (as a RHD, UK car), it’s been here since 2019. Despite its epic mile munching ability, it sits on just 22,431 miles - not much more than 2,000 a year. It only notched up its first MOT advisory last September, after years of first-time, fault-free passes. There are loads of Porsche stamps in its history, including a visit last month that inspected the underneath - and found absolutely nothing to report.

Check out the spec, too. Those tired of black, grey and white 911s will find plenty to appreciate here with a Carmine Red Turbo. And then even more red inside: on the doors, the glorious carbon bucket seats, the lower half of the dash. It’s certainly not a spec you’re going to see at the next club meet. As expected given the miniscule mileage, everything presents very smartly indeed. And those fond of buttons for interior functions will be in heaven…

With a transferable warranty as well as that recent service, this Turbo is ready for whatever the rest of 2026 has in store. And that really could be anything - that’s the joy of these cars. It could be a comfy commuter, fast and fun on track, plus a mighty long-distance tool. It could do all three in fact, with more in that front boot than you’d ever expect. It’s an attractive proposition, which is probably why, despite the advent of so much technology, it’s easy to see the link between a 10-year-old 911 Turbo and a new one. After all, what would you change?

MCXtrema was the first customer unit delivered in 2024.

It uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 making 730 hp on track.

The auction was withdrawn after bidding hit $751,000.

Getting hold of one of Maserati’s most extreme creations isn’t easy, even if you have the money ready. The MCXtrema is a track-only evolution of the MC20, built in a limited run of just 62 units for serious drivers and high-end collectors. But unless you’re buying directly through Maserati, securing one could prove more difficult than expected.

Read: Maserati MCXtrema Hits The Track And Sounds Amazing Doing It

Late last month, the very first customer-owned MCXtrema popped up for auction on Bring a Trailer. The car had just 228 km (141 miles) on the clock and was originally handed over to its first owner during the 2024 Monterey Car Week. Not long after, it was picked up by a dealer, likely with a flip in mind and the hope of turning a profit.

Soon after the listing went live on BaT, bidding reached $751,000 before the auction was abruptly withdrawn. The reason? Maserati stepped in and didn’t want the car changing hands.

What Happened?

According to the auction website, Maserati of North America said the automaker was restricting the sale of this particular MCXtrema. No explanation was given for why Maserati opposed the resale, especially since the car had already changed hands once.

“The selling dealer of this car has communicated to us that they are regrettably unable to proceed with the auction,” BaT wrote in the comments section. “After engaging in a dialogue with Maserati of North America, they have been made aware that Maserati is restricting the sale of this car. The seller demonstrated transparency and openness throughout our interactions regarding this issue, as well as expressing frustrations, and we appreciate their approach.”

BaT added, “We obviously cannot put the eventual winning bidder into a problematic post-auction situation, so we have withdrawn the auction, a step we never take lightly.”

Restriction Sparks Backlash

News of the pulled listing didn’t sit well with everyone. Some users on the site’s forum expressed frustration, questioning the brand’s motives and its handling of a moment that could have brought some excitement.

“For the first time in years, there’s finally some excitement around a new Maserati… and Maserati of North America finds yet another way to mess it up,” one commenter wrote. Another added, “perhaps they [Maserati] should restrict the sale of all their other models that hold values like used Kleenex.”

The MCXtrema shares its basic layout with the MC20 but dials everything up to 11. Its 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 has been pushed to 730 hp, paired with a new six-speed sequential gearbox and a mechanical limited-slip differential, all driving the rear wheels. Built strictly for the circuit, it’s designed to deliver serious performance with no concern for road legality.

The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren reignited the SLR legacy and signaled Mercedes-Benz’s return to building true super sports cars. Drawing on historic icons like the Uhlenhaut Coupé and the original 1955 SLR, the modern SLR blended classic design cues with Formula 1–derived technology from the Silver Arrows era, creating a direct link between motorsport heritage and contemporary performance.

The most extreme and final evolution was the SLR McLaren Stirling Moss, the last model produced under the Mercedes-McLaren partnership. Designed by Yoon Il-hun and unveiled in 2009, it paid clear tribute to the roofless 1955 SLR sports racers driven by Stirling Moss. With no roof or windscreen, it shed roughly 200kg compared with the standard SLR. Power came from a 641 horsepower supercharged V8, enabling sub-3.5-second sprints to 100km/h and a top speed of 350km/h.

Production was capped at just 75 examples, all allocated to existing SLR owners and completed in 2009. One such car is scheduled to cross the block at RM Sotheby’s Paris auction on January 30, carrying an estimate of $3,250,000 to $3,850,000.

This particular car was completed on 16 December 2009 in Crystal Laurit Silver Metallic with a Black and Anthracite leather interior accented in Silver Arrow Red. It features carbon-fibre seats, red brake calipers, and 19-inch twin-spoke wheels.

Initially retained by Daimler as a demonstration vehicle, it was first road-registered in 2011 and later sold to a private owner with minimal mileage. The car was serviced in September 2025 and shows only 1,935 kilometres at cataloguing and is offered with period accessories, including driving caps, goggles, covers, documentation, and a scale model.

The 918 served as a modern counterpart to the earlier 959, emphasizing new technology rather than a stripped-down driving experience. It combined a 4.6-liter V8 and electric motors for 887 horsepower, all driven through a seven-speed PDK gearbox, enabling 0 to 60 mph in under 2.5 seconds and a 211 mph top speed.

This 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder, number 652 of 918 built and currently listed on Bring a Trailer, is a highly optioned example. It features a paint-to-sample Oryx White Pearl Effect exterior—a $21,000 non-standard color—and an Onyx Black leather interior with silver piping and matching accents.

It was also optioned with the $84k Weissach package, focused on weight reduction and performance. Leather surfaces were swapped for Alcantara, carbon fiber replaced aluminum components, and lightweight magnesium wheels were added. Additional carbon fiber elements include the windshield frame, roof, rear wings, and mirrors, resulting in a 99-lb weight reduction and sharper performance.

The car is equipped with 20″/21″ magnesium wheels, an electro-mechanical limited-slip differential, front-axle lift, Porsche Active Aerodynamics, rear-axle steering, LED headlights, backup camera, Burmester audio, dual-zone climate control, glare-reducing interior trim, and a 6.8-kWh lithium-ion battery mounted behind the passenger compartment.

Lamborghini launched its first plug-in hybrid, the Revuelto, in March 2023. Named after a Spanish fighting bull, it carries on the brand’s tradition of V12-powered flagship models dating back to the 350 GT of 1963. Its 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12, based on the Aventador’s engine, works with three electric motors—two driving the front axle and one integrated into the transversely mounted eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Combined output reaches 1,001 horsepower, with 814 hp coming from the V12 alone. Performance is extreme: the Revuelto accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds and reaches a 217-mph top speed. Rear-wheel steering and a torque-vectoring system enhance agility to match the aggressive, sharp-edged exterior styling.

This specific 2025 Revuelto offered on Bring a Trailer shows 1,816 miles. Finished in Marrone Alcestis Metallic over a carbon-fiber monocoque, it features high-gloss black exterior trim, pinstripe lower livery, carbon-fiber accents, scissor doors, an active rear wing, a rear diffuser, dual matte black hexagonal exhaust outlets, and 21-inch front and 22-inch rear Altanero Bronze Diamond Cut wheels on Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires.

The Classica-theme interior uses Terra Emilia leather with Bronzo Oreadi stitching, embroidered headrests, carbon-fiber trim, and an 8.4-inch central touchscreen with navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. A Sonus Faber sound system, RGB ambient lighting, and illuminated kickplates complete the cabin.

Mechanically, the Revuelto combines its V12, triple electric motors, and a 3.8-kWh battery for 1,001 hp and 1,044 lb-ft of torque. It employs an eight-speed dual-clutch automated transaxle, push-button start, rear-wheel steering, torque vectoring, double-wishbone suspension with adaptive dampers and Magneride shocks, and carbon-ceramic brakes with 10-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers.

Source: Bring a Trailer

On January 23, 2026, RM Sotheby’s will hold its first premier auction for the year in Phoenix during Arizona Car Week. Among the highlights are four iconic Ferraris offered together: an F40, F50, Enzo, and LaFerrari. These represent key milestones in Maranello’s modern history, with estimates matching or exceeding recent records, underscoring their status as global collector’s items.

1991 Ferrari F40 – Estimated at $2.8–3.2M, this F40 remains factory-correct, numbers-matching, and Ferrari Classiche–certified. Delivered through Auto Becker GmbH, it underwent a full timing belt service and inspection in 2025. Built for performance with a 471-hp twin-turbo V8 and lightweight Kevlar/carbon/Nomex construction, it offers raw, unassisted driving feedback.

1995 Ferrari F50 – Offered at $7–9 million, this 60th-produced example has 8,195 miles and recently received a comprehensive service including a new fuel cell. Built to extend Ferrari’s racing technology to the road, it features a carbon-fiber monocoque, mid-mounted 4.7-liter V12 producing 513 hp, adjustable suspension, and racing-inspired components, alongside usable features like leather seats and A/C. Finished in Rosso Corsa over Nero, it comes with a removable hardtop, soft top, owner’s manuals, and rare Ferrari F50 driving shoes.

2003 Ferrari Enzo – Set to fetch $5–6 million, this US-spec Enzo, chassis 128797, has 746 miles and has had only three private caretakers. Fully serviced recently by Ferrari of Newport Beach, it includes its original luggage, car cover, and tool kit. Ferrari’s definitive hypercar of the 2000s, the Enzo combines a 651-hp 6.0-liter V12, carbon-fiber monocoque, F1-derived technology, and dihedral doors, delivering 0–60 mph in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 218 mph.

2015 Ferrari LaFerrari – Priced at $4.5–5 million, this LaFerrari has 1,938 miles and was delivered new to California. Finished in Rosso Corsa over Nero and Rosso trim, it pairs a 789-hp V12 with a 161-hp hybrid motor for 949 hp total, hitting 0–60 mph in 2.4 seconds. Advanced aerodynamics, carbon-fiber construction, and cutting-edge technology make it Ferrari’s first hybrid hypercar.

Bringing an F40, F50, Enzo, and LaFerrari together highlights Ferrari’s modern supercar lineage and signals that collector demand now spans both pre- and post-hybrid eras. Arizona 2026 could become a key benchmark for the market of the most sought-after Ferraris.

When a vehicle arrives at the site of an auction, how it gets there is a good indicator of its potential worth. You’d see an open trailer for your average stuff. An enclosed trailer means a bit more dough is at stake. If the car in question shows up via helicopter, your accountant may start to hyperventilate. But that’s how a car like the Gordon Murray Special Vehicles S1 LM is destined to arrive.

A record-breaking sale gives the GMSV team reason to pop expensive champagne in Las Vegas. Chassis number one just sold for $20,630,000—the highest number ever for a new car sold at auction. That’s quite an impressive sum, considering the car isn’t built yet, and no one has even driven it.

So what does the $20M get you? Gordon Murray Special Vehicles plans to build just five examples of the S1 LM. This auction is for the first one. The buyer gets sit-down sessions with Gordon Murray himself to determine how the car will be spec'd. There will be development drive sessions, where the owner can provide some feedback for the engineering team. Three-time Indy 500 winner Dario Franchitti will also be in attendance at those sessions.

Finally, the owner will receive a 500-page book highlighting the creation process of their car. Besides being the ultimate coffee-table flex, this book will include original sketches and notes from Gordon Murray’s notebook.

While it’s true that no one has driven an S1 LM, it’s easy to go out on a limb and say the car should be pretty wonderful. The exterior style is an homage to the 1995 Le Mans-winning McLaren F1 GTR. Under the skin, however, the S1 LM is a modified version of the Gordon Murray Automotive T.50. A 4.3-liter V-12 sits out back, produces around 710 horsepower, and sends that power to the ground through a six-speed manual gearbox.

The cabin is all business. The S1 LM features the iconic centrally located driver’s seat with a pair of passenger seats set back on either side. You’ll need to wear headphones when driving this thing, since the wail of the V12 likely gets rather loud.

Gordon Murray Special Vehicles initially stated that all five models had already been sold. In fact, just one buyer managed to scoop them all up. However, this auction for chassis number one suggests that this may not be the case. Perhaps we will learn more about the owner or owners of the five-car run of the S1 LM after deliveries begin sometime in 2026.

The Last Gordon Murray S1 LM Is Heading To Auction, And For An Eye-Watering Price

When the man who designed the McLaren F1 decided to make a whole new car as a tribute to the GTR that won Le Mans in 1995, you knew it was going to be a very special thing indeed. As it turned out to be the case with the Gordon Murray S1 LM.

Unfortunately, though, getting one was always going to be a tough task. Exclusivity is the first stumbling block, with just five made. Oh, and all of those five were destined for one very wealthy customer with a penchant for Gordon Murray’s creations.

Gordon Murray Automotive S1 LM

Only, it would seem one of those didn’t find its way to that customer after all. That being Chassis #1, which is soon to be auctioned by RM Sotheby’s and is likely going to fetch an eye-watering price.

Powering this S1 LM is the naturally-aspirated V12 originally developed especially for Gordon Murray Automotive by engine specialists Cosworth for its T.50, yet developed further. Bored to 4.3-litres from 4.0 for the S1 LM, it produces 700bhp, and with a monumental redline of 12,100rpm.

Considering that’s paired with a six-speed manual gearbox and housed in a car weighing just 957kg, we can only imagine how visceral it feels to drive.

Gordon Murray Automotive S1 LM

Just look at it, too. The five-spoke alloy wheels with gold Brembo brake callipers, the gigantic rear wing, the extended front splitter and the beautifully stubby rear end. Truly, a work of art that we’d drop our jaws at every time we saw the thing in our garage.

Only, we’ll never be close to affording it. RM Sotheby’s has put an estimate of $20m (just over £15m) for the S1 LM, which puts it right in the ballpark of a real McLaren F1. Deservedly so? Unless fortune really favours us greatly someday, we’ll only be able to speculate.

The Lamborghini Pregunta didn't reach it's reserve at auction

Remember the article on the rare Lamborghini Pregunta Concept we published recently? This one-off concept was going under the hammer during the famous Zoute Concours Auction 2025 in Belgium, organized by auction house Broad Arrow, with a hefty estimate between €2,500,000 and €3,500,000, which converts to a massive US $2,900,000 to $4,000,000 … but the car didn’t reach its reserve during the live auction on Friday, however, there is more to the story … first let’s talk about the car a little more, as it is something truly special.

When you think of Hueliez, you probably picture elegant French coachwork — Peugeot limousines, Citroën conversions, refined practicality. But in 1998, this quiet French company stunned the automotive world with something completely unexpected: a full-blown Lamborghini-based supercar prototype that looked like it had escaped from a sci-fi movie. Unveiled at the 1998 Paris Auto Show and later displayed in Geneva in 1999, the Hueliez Pregunta was unlike anything else on the floor. Built around the chassis and mechanicals of a Lamborghini Diablo VT, the Pregunta represented Hueliez’s vision of the next generation of open-top supercars — brutal, alien, and shockingly fast.

Public reaction was split right down the middle. Some called it “extremely ugly,” while others admired its animalistic aggression and purposeful stance — a welcome contrast to the more restrained Lamborghini Canto prototypes Zagato was showing at the time. The Pregunta’s design was all about aerodynamics and visual drama. Its low-slung body (just 110 cm tall) measured over 4.5 meters long and nearly 2 meters wide, giving it a ground-hugging, wide-track presence.

Up front, two large air intakes dominated the nose, feeding the hungry V12 engine tucked mid-rear. The car’s Xenon headlights were embedded into the sharp fenders, while enormous side air grabbers channeled air into the Lamborghini’s 5.7-liter powerhouse. In a clever bit of engineering, parts of these air intakes were integrated into the gullwing-style doors. With the transparent roof panels attached, the entire upper section lifted upward in one dramatic motion — a visual spectacle even by supercar standards. At the back, twin exhausts and a cluster of small lights completed the aggressive look.

Under the sleek bodywork lay familiar Lamborghini muscle. Using the Diablo VT’s 530 bhp V12, Hueliez claimed a top speed of 333 km/h (207 mph) and a 0–100 km/h sprint in under four seconds — blistering performance for a roofless prototype in 1998. Inside, the Pregunta felt more fighter jet than grand tourer. The cockpit was trimmed in black and blue Alcantara, with a Magneti Marelli digital dashboard that looked straight out of Formula One. High-end audio came courtesy of Alpine, complete with LCD rear-view camera screens, while BCI’s Cristine navigation system added a futuristic touch years ahead of its time

Safety wasn’t forgotten either: Schroth four-point harnesses, DGGA ambient lighting, and a Classic Board steering wheel completed the high-tech ensemble. Despite its breathtaking execution, the Pregunta was never intended for production. Hueliez built it purely to showcase their technical and design capabilities — a rolling demonstration of French craftsmanship at the highest level. The entire project reportedly cost over $800,000 USD in 1999 — a staggering investment for a one-off concept.

Today, the Hueliez Pregunta remains a fascinating piece of supercar history: a bold, forgotten experiment that bridged the gap between French design audacity and Italian performance engineering. It may never have roared down the production line, but it proved one thing beyond doubt: when the French dream big, they dream in V12. Still, the car didn’t reach its estimate and initially didn’t sell during the Zoute Concours auction in Knokke, Belgium, the high bid went up to $1,800,000 (USD 2,087,999), which wasn’t enough to reach the reserve price set by the owner … but afterward, a provisional bid was accepted, and the car is now sold.

A unique example of the Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercar, ordered new by ex-F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo, is set to be auctioned.

One of 150 examples of the Valkyrie coupe made, it will be sold as part of the Broad Arrow Zoute Concours Auction in Belgium.

The Australian driver confirmed his retirement from motorsport earlier this month, and has seemingly started to sell off his most valuable toys.

Ricciardo had been linked to the fledgling Cadillac Formula 1 Team ahead of its debut for the 2026 season. However, Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas were named as drivers for the new American outfit, with Colton Herta taking the reserve spot.

Developed as a joint project between Red Bull Racing and Aston Martin, the team’s title sponsor at the time, the Valkyrie featured design input from legendary F1 engineer, Adrian Newey.

A lightweight carbon fibre monocoque chassis was combined with a mid-mounted and naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12. The Cosworth-built engine featured an F1-style KERS hybrid boost system, pushing its total output to 1,176hp.

With advanced aerodynamics, the Valkyrie can generate up to 1,800kg of downforce – around 500kg more than the weight of the car itself.

Limited to a top speed of 220mph, the Valkyrie is likely to feel quick even compared to some of Ricciardo’s previous company cars.

Ricciardo commissioned Valkyrie number 089 in European specification and left-hand drive. A Q by Aston Martin Dichroic Dawn paint finish was chosen for the exterior, costing £30,000 alone.

The special hue was branded ‘Badger Blue’ in honour of Ricciardo’s nickname. It also appears on the roof strakes and painted wheel centres. Elsewhere, the Valkyrie’s bodywork is exposed, unpainted carbon fibre.

Some £40,000 was spent on a set of ultra-lightweight Magnesium Performance Wheels, with a centre-lock fitment aimed at track-day use.

On the inside, Ricciardo chose Pure Black Debossed Alcantara for the upholstery, matched with satin carbon fibre trim at a cost of £10,000. Further bespoke touches include silver-anodised toggle switches on the steering wheel, plus silver stitching for the carbon fibre seats.

Delivered to Ricciardo by Aston Martin Monaco, the Valkyrie has hardly been used, logging just 160km on its odometer.

A new owner will benefit from the Valkyrie’s recent 24-month service, along with the £62,000 ‘Intensified’ Valkyrie service plan, which is valid until 2027.

Ahead of the auction, Broad Arrow has given the Valkyrie a guide price of between £2.1 million and £2.45 million. We only have to wait until Friday 10 October to see how much Ricciardo’s Valkyrie sells for in Belgium.

This 2005 Maserati MC12 Stradale will be offered for auction at Bonhams Cars on October 12, carrying an estimate of up to $4,700,000. Conceived as a homologation special for international GT racing, the MC12 was produced in two batches of 25, with each group reflecting the FIA’s rule changes.

Developed from the Ferrari Enzo, the Stradale variant employed a 6.0-liter naturally aspirated V12 producing 621 bhp, paired with a six-speed automated manual gearbox. Performance figures included a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 330 km/h. Its carbon-fiber monocoque chassis, with aluminum subframes, was matched with double-wishbone suspension and selectable Sport or Race modes.

While designed for competition, the MC12 offered a distinctive interior blending carbon fiber, blue leather, and silver Brightex. Criticisms about its lack of practicality—a missing audio system, boot, or rear window—were offset by its motorsport pedigree, highlighted by Maserati’s FIA GT Manufacturers’ Cup victory in 2005 and years of subsequent dominance.

Delivered new in January 2005 to a single registered owner in Rome, this car remains in its factory color scheme of pearlescent white with blue accents, honoring Maserati’s historic Camoradi racing livery. It has been meticulously maintained, with 13 recorded services, most of which were performed by the original dealer, including significant work at Maserati’s Modena factory in 2024.

The most recent service was completed in August 2025. Showing consistent use at approximately 2,200 km per year, it is offered with cancelled Italian registration, the original stamped service book, and documents. This carefully maintained, single-owner MC12 Stradale ranks among the most exclusive and collectible modern Maseratis.

Daniel Ricciardo’s Aston Martin Valkyrie has just 100 miles on the clock.

The hypercar wears Dichoric Dawn, a shimmering $40,500 paint option.

Auction house expects the car to fetch up to $3.2 million in October.

The Aston Martin Valkyrie may be one of the most remarkable road-legal performance cars ever built, but it seems a growing number of owners are quietly moving theirs on. Australian ex-F1 superstar Daniel Ricciardo is the latest to join that list, selling his custom Valkyrie through Broad Arrow Auctions in October.

Read: Someone Specced The Wildest Valkyrie Ever Then Sold It After One Track Day

Ricciardo’s connection to the Valkyrie runs deeper than simply signing an order form. Back in 2016, while racing for Red Bull, he was involved in the global unveiling of what was then called the AM-RB 001. Exactly when his own car arrived or how much it cost him remains unknown, but later this year someone else will be handed the keys to a machine born from the racetrack.

A Custom Shade

When commissioning his Valkyrie, which is chassis number 089, Ricciardo opted to have it sprayed in Dichoric Dawn, also known as Badger Blue. This paint was a – rather hefty – £30,000 ($40,500) option and looks white under some lights but shimmers in a light shade of blue from certain angles. The Aussie also ordered matching Dichoric Dawn graphics running along the roof, optional black tailpipes, and gloss carbon on the roof and engine cover.

Details That Add Up

The Valkyrie also boasts a set of £40,000 ($54,000) magnesium wheels finished in Matte Black and sitting over black brake calipers. The special options ordered through Aston Martin’s Q division continue into the cabin and include black debossed Alcantara and satin carbon fiber parts. All up, this hypercar has £141,500 ($191,000) worth of options and comes with the Valkyrie Ownership Experience Program Service Plan.

That program runs until August 2027 and promises the car stays in perfect running order. The next custodian will, however, need to cover four annual installments of £23,000 ($31,000) to keep the plan active.

Low Miles, High Value

Despite its extraordinary specification, Ricciardo has barely used the car. The odometer shows just 100 miles (160 km) since new and its condition reflects that light use. Broad Arrow Auctions expects the sale to fetch between €2.4 million ($2.8 million) and €2.8 million ($3.28 million), placing it firmly among the most desirable Valkyries to surface on the open market.

Should you happen to have a few spare millions lying around between the sofa cushions (or, more likely, on your bank account), you’ll find the complete listing waiting for you here.

The Bugatti Chiron, named after Monégasque racing driver Louis Chiron, is powered by a reworked version of the brand’s legendary 8.0-liter, quad-turbocharged W-16 engine. Originating in the Veyron, where it produced just under 1,000 horsepower, the engine evolved over time until the Chiron debuted in 2016 with 1,500 horsepower—nearly 300 more than the most powerful Veyron.

In 2019, Bugatti pushed the limits further with the Chiron Super Sport 300+, a model developed after a prototype became the first road car to break the 300-mph barrier. In 2019, Bugatti pushed the limits further with the Chiron Super Sport 300+, a model developed after a prototype became the first road car to break the 300-mph barrier.

Following this achievement, Bugatti confirmed the production of just 30 Super Sport 300+ examples. The model featured a longer, aerodynamically optimized body designed for stability at extreme speeds. Innovations included front Air Curtains, wheel arch outlets, and a 25-centimeter “Longtail” rear that improved airflow and minimized drag. A large diffuser replaced a conventional spoiler, while lightweight carbon fiber construction and magnesium wheels reduced mass.

Of the 30 Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ produced, only eight were delivered to the United States. This car, number six, was supplied new to Bugatti itself via O’Gara and has remained with its sole owner ever since. Driven sparingly, it shows under 840 miles and has received annual servicing through Bugatti Beverly Hills, verified by the dealer.

The Super Sport 300+ is regarded as one of Bugatti’s most striking creations, combining extraordinary performance with design steeped in the brand’s heritage. Its signature black carbon fiber body with vivid orange accents commands attention without excess, striking a perfect balance of power and elegance. The interior mirrors this ethos, with Beluga black trim, cross-hatched leather seats, orange highlights, Alcantara details, and flawless craftsmanship.

This is also the only second Chiron Super Sport 300+ to be offered publicly for sale via auction in the US and is expected to command up to $5,400,000 at Bonhams Cars’ upcoming Audrain Auction on October 3.

Porsche stunned enthusiasts when it revealed the Carrera GT prototype at the Louvre in Paris on September 28, 2000, marking its bold return to the supercar arena after years of absence. In the 1990s, rivals like the McLaren F1 and Ferrari had set new benchmarks, and many believed Porsche had fallen behind. The Carrera GT proved otherwise, signaling a fresh era with a ground-up design rooted in Porsche’s racing heritage.

Its origins lay in the canceled 2000 Le Mans prototype program, which provided the foundation for its 5.7L naturally aspirated V-10. With advanced components like titanium rods, forged pistons, and Porsche’s VarioCam system, the engine produced 605 horsepower and 435 lb-ft of torque. Power was delivered via a compact Ceramic Composite Clutch and six-speed manual gearbox, optimized for a low center of gravity.

A technological showcase, the Carrera GT pioneered a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis and cutting-edge aerodynamics with a 0–60 mph time of 3.8 seconds and a 205 mph top speed.
Production ran until 2007, during which only 1,207 had been completed, with fewer than sixty Carrera GTs finished in a paint-to-sample color, with perhaps half that figure or less destined for the US market.

One of these paint-to-sample finished Carrera GTs is currently up for grabs on RM Sotheby’s. This 2005 Carrera GT, bearing serial number 1080, is finished in Carrara White with matching wheel spokes and contrasted by black brake calipers. Inside, it features Natural Dark Grey leather, deviated stitching, optional carbon fiber trim, and the rare carbon shift knob. Completing the package is the factory luggage set, raising its original MSRP to over $500,000, one of the highest for the model.

Delivered new in Florida, it was soon exported to Germany, where successive owners carefully maintained it at Porsche dealerships. It underwent major servicing, a bumper swap to European specification, and later received a KW nose lift kit. Reimported to the US in 2024, it had its suspension wishbones replaced under recall and new tires fitted. With under 6,300 miles, this paint-to-sample Carrera GT represents one of the rarest and most collectible modern Porsches.

Source: RM Sotheby’s

Broad Arrow Auctions, a Hagerty (NYSE: HGTY) company, presents what is considered to be the last Lamborghini concept car to be built on a pure Lamborghini platform, the Pregunta. A truly unique piece of Lamborghini and performance car history, it will be offered for sale for the first time in over a decade at the Broad Arrow Zoute Concours Auction.

The ultimate expression of automotive creativity, concept cars rarely make it into production and are immortalized forever as a showcase of design and engineering. Often outlandish, futuristic and full of clues to the design of models to come, they are always unique, making them arguably among the most collectable cars of them all.

The 1998 Lamborghini Pregunta (Estimate: €2,500,000 – €3,500,000) is one such concept, a rarely seen result of the collaboration between Lamborghini and French coachbuilder Carrosserie Heuliez. Originally commissioned when Chrysler owned Lamborghini, the Pregunta debuted at the 1998 Paris Motor Show, just months after Lamborghini had been part of a Volkswagen Group buying spree that included Bentley and Bugatti. Based on the Diablo, the Pregunta is regarded by many as the last truly radical concept car to carry the famous Lamborghini name.

“The Lamborghini Pregunta is a striking piece of design that combines both the superb engineering of Lamborghini and the fighter-jet inspired design created by Heuliez,” says Joe Twyman, VP of Sales for Broad Arrow’s EMEA Region. “We are extremely honored to offer this incredibly unique piece of Lamborghini and supercar history to the collector car market and expect considerable interest in what is a genuinely fresh-to-market opportunity for collectors around the world.”

Styled by Heuliez’s head of design, Marc Deschamps, whose impressive portfolio includes the Lamborghini Jalpa, the Pregunta comes from a time when concept cars stunned onlookers and grabbed headlines. As with more recent Lamborghini models such as the Reventón of 2007 and the Egoista concept of 2013, the Pregunta was inspired by a fighter jet, the French Dassault Rafale.

It features carbon fibre bodywork by Heuliez, with vast air intakes that mimic those of the fighter jet. So too do the canopy-like scissor doors, the wraparound glass, and the same Matte Grey paint of the Rafale.

The interior is equally fighter jet-inspired, with glass screens, aviation-style seats trimmed in Azure Blue Alcantara, fibre-optic lighting, and rear-view cameras. A Formula One-derived Magneti Marelli digital instrument cluster provided essential information, and the Pregunta was fitted with an Alpine audio system.

The underpinnings of the Diablo were extensively reworked, including a switch to rear-wheel drive. The 5.7-litre V12 engine produced 537 PS and 605 Nm of torque, all of which were controlled through a five-speed manual gearbox. It could hit 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and go on to a top speed of 337 km/h, while its Quicksilver exhaust generated a soundtrack that reflected the car’s fighter-jet inspiration.

The Porsche 918 Spyder marked a groundbreaking leap in performance and technology, following in the footsteps of icons like the 959 and Carrera GT. Its defining feature is a hybrid powertrain combining three sources: a mid-mounted 608-hp 4.6-liter V8 engine, plus a 154-hp rear electric motor and a 127-hp front motor. Together, they deliver 887 hp and 900 lb-ft of torque through all four wheels via the seven-speed PDK. The result: 0–62 mph in just over two seconds and a top speed exceeding 200 mph.

Currently offered for sale on RM Sotheby’s, this 918 Spyder with 750 miles on the odometer is one of only five examples finished in Paint-to-Sample Gulf Blue. Number 740 of only 918 units produced is also quite special as it is the only one delivered in full Gulf livery, inspired by the 917K that won the 1970 Daytona 24 Hours. Its original Atlanta-based owner commissioned a faithful recreation, complete with number 2 roundels.

This example is the only U.S.-spec 918 in Gulf livery and the only one worldwide with a Mocha Brown leather interior accented by Arancia Mira piping. Equipped with the Weissach Package, it also features a front lift, Burmester audio, a carbon-fiber roof, mirrors, and a spoiler, as well as factory paint protection film, a fire extinguisher, and a tracking system.

Special touches include roundels with the number 2, Arancia Mira stitching throughout, satin platinum magnesium wheels, painted windscreen frame, thicker glass rear window, Gulf Blue and Orange keys, and custom leather key pouches and manual folio.

Ordered through Hennessey Porsche North Atlanta, it was delivered at Barber Motorsports Park, Porsche’s U.S. driving venue, before the Atlanta Experience Center. The car remained with its first owner for five years before being relocated to Miami, where it continued to reside in the Southeast.

Source: RM Sotheby’s

The 1990 Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – DLS EP1 represents the very beginning of Singer’s groundbreaking Dynamics and Lightweighting Study. First unveiled at the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed, EP1 was one of just two cars used to launch the program and is the exact car featured in Singer’s original press photography. Finished in Parallax White with Ghosted Light stripes and Norfolk Yellow accents, it became an instant icon and a turning point in Singer’s history.

The DLS project pushed Singer’s vision of the ultimate air-cooled 911 further than ever before. Working with Williams Advanced Engineering, Norbert Singer, and Hans Mezger, the team reimagined the classic 964 platform using Formula One-grade technology.

The result was a 4.0-liter flat-six engine with four-valve heads, featuring titanium and magnesium components, and an exhaust crafted from titanium and Inconel, which produced 500 horsepower and revved to 9,300 rpm. To optimize weight and balance, even ancillary systems, such as air conditioning and steering, were battery-powered, ensuring maximum output went directly to the rear wheels through a specially positioned six-speed manual gearbox.

The chassis was clad in carbon fiber bodywork, shaped using computational fluid dynamics, while aerodynamics were refined with a front splitter, roof wing, and a reimagined ducktail spoiler. Magnesium center-lock wheels, Brembo CCMR carbon-ceramic brakes, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires completed the package. Inside, EP1 features carbon fiber bucket seats in Norfolk Yellow leather, exposed carbon accents, and Singer’s signature exposed gear linkage.

Restored in 2018 and fully refreshed by Singer in 2023, EP1 has covered just 850 miles since completion. It is offered with a twelve-month Singer warranty, bespoke color-matched Track 1 – DLS Edition watch, matching luggage, and two sets of lightweight magnesium wheels.

Currently, this landmark Singer is available through RM Sotheby’s Sealed with an estimate of $3,250,000 – $3,750,000 USD.

Daniel Ricciardo’s Aston Martin Valkyrie heads to auction

Broad Arrow Auctions is set to make waves at its inaugural Zoute Concours Auction this October, and the star attraction is none other than the Aston Martin Valkyrie once owned and personally commissioned by Formula One legend Daniel Ricciardo. With production of Aston Martin’s halo hypercar ending in late 2024, opportunities to acquire one are already rare. Add Ricciardo’s motorsport pedigree to the mix, and chassis number 089 instantly becomes one of the most desirable Valkyries in existence.

The Valkyrie represents one of the purest transfers of F1 technology to the road. Developed by Aston Martin in collaboration with Red Bull Racing and guided by the genius of Adrian Newey, the car pushes boundaries of aerodynamics and engineering. At its heart sits a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated Cosworth V12, paired with a hybrid KERS system, producing a staggering 1,000 horsepower and revving all the way to 11,100 rpm. For anyone who has heard one at full chat, it’s as close to Formula One theatre as you can experience with number plates attached.

Ricciardo himself summed it up best: “It feels like a race car, and it looks like a race car. I’m not used to having a roof over my head, but otherwise, it’s a pretty straight-up race car.”

Commissioned through Aston Martin’s Q bespoke division, Ricciardo’s Valkyrie wears Dichroic Dawn paintwork—a £30,000 option he nicknamed ‘Badger Blue’ in homage to his “Honey Badger” persona. The colour shifts in the light, accentuating the Valkyrie’s extreme curves and aerodynamic surfaces.

Other standout details include:

Exposed satin carbon fibre elements, including the suspension shrouds.

Ultra-lightweight magnesium wheels finished in matte black with custom Badger Blue centres.

A cabin lined in Pure Black debossed Alcantara with satin carbon trim.

Removable steering wheel with silver-anodised toggle switches.

Carbon fibre bucket seats with silver contrast stitching.

With just 160 km on the odometer, Ricciardo’s Valkyrie has lived a pampered life in his private collection, making it essentially factory-fresh.

Set for 10 October 2025 at the Approach Golf, Knokke-Heist, the Broad Arrow Zoute Concours Auction will feature around 70 collectible cars. But Ricciardo’s Valkyrie, estimated between €2.4m and €2.8m, will undoubtedly be the headline act.

As Ricciardo himself puts it: “Will we ever see another car like this again? I can’t predict the future. But when you ask if it is the pinnacle of road legal technology, then yes, I think it is.”

For collectors and enthusiasts alike, this is more than just a hypercar. It’s a piece of motorsport history wrapped in one of the most extreme road cars ever built.

Daniel Ricciardo’s Aston Martin Valkyrie Is Coming Up For Sale

Daniel Ricciardo's Aston Martin Valkyrie - rear

It’s little surprise that at least a few current and former F1 drivers managed to get their hands on an Aston Martin Valkyrie, given it’s designed to be as close to a roadgoing F1 car as it’s really possible to be. Fernando Alonso has one (unsurprisingly), and so did David Coulthard, but he sold his.

It turns out that Daniel Ricciardo has one, but he’s now getting ready to part ways with it as it comes up for sale at an auction in Belgium next month.

Daniel Ricciardo's Aston Martin Valkyrie - doors up

In case you’d somehow forgotten about the Valkyrie’s ridiculous vital statistics, here they are. It’s powered by a 6.5-litre, naturally aspirated V12 developed by Cosworth that produces 1000bhp and revs out to a scintillating 11,100rpm. Paired with a KERS hybrid system, peak output is 1160bhp, making for a 2.6-second 0-62mph dash and a top speed north of 215mph. Oh yeah, and it’s got F1-style ground effect too.

Ricciardo’s is chassis number 089 of 150 coupes, commissioned by him in Dichroic Dawn, a £30,000 option which has also taught us a new word (apparently it means something that can display two different colours at once through light reflection). It's also known as Badger Blue – nothing to do with Ricciardo’s nickname, apparently.

Daniel Ricciardo's Aston Martin Valkyrie - front

Elsewhere, the car’s skirts and suspension shrouds are finished in exposed twill carbon fibre, and Ricciardo specced the ultra-light magnesium wheels too. Inside, it’s a mixture of black Alcantara and more exposed carbon. Sporty.

Evidently, the honey badger didn’t get much seat time in his Valkyrie, because it’s displaying just 160km on the clock – a little under 100 miles. Despite that, he had this to say about the car: “It feels like a race car and it looks like a race car. I'm not used to having a roof over my head, but that's the only thing that really feels different, otherwise, it's a pretty straight-up race car.”

Daniel Ricciardo's Aston Martin Valkyrie - interior

Should you have the desire and the means to find out what he’s talking about, his Valkyrie’s coming up for sale on 10 October, at Broad Arrow’s Zoute Concours sale on the Belgian coast. Naturally, it won’t come cheap – it’s estimated at between €2.4 and €2.8 million, or around £2.1 to £2.4 million.

Maserati MC12 Stradale sets record at Monterey, fetching $5.2 million

Maserati has made headlines in the collector car world, as a 2005 MC12 Stradale sold for a record-breaking $5.2 million at Broad Arrow’s prestigious Monterey Jet Center Auction on August 13 during Monterey Car Week. The sale marks the highest price ever paid for a modern Maserati at auction, underscoring the model’s enduring legacy.

With just 50 units built, 25 in 2004 and 25 in 2005, the MC12 Stradale has become a symbol of rarity, extreme performance, and bold Italian design. Powered by a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 producing 630 hp at 7,500 rpm, the car embodies Maserati’s return to form in the early 2000s. Its distinctive white-and-blue livery pays homage to the legendary Birdcage Type 61 of 1959–1961, cementing its identity as both a performance machine and a rolling tribute to Maserati heritage.

This latest result not only shattered the previous record for the MC12, by an impressive 37% margin, but also cemented the model’s status as one of the most coveted modern-era collectibles.

The MC12 Stradale’s value is deeply rooted in its direct connection to motorsport. Born as a road-legal sibling of the MC12 GT1, the car traces its DNA to a racer that dominated FIA GT championships between 2004 and 2010. The MC12 GT1 secured 14 major titles, 22 race wins, and three victories at the 24 Hours of Spa, achievements that still resonate with enthusiasts today.

Beyond its competition pedigree, the MC12 stands as a bridge between eras: it reestablished Maserati as a performance powerhouse while laying the groundwork for today’s limited-production halo cars. The record-breaking sale arrives as Maserati introduces its latest track-focused creation, the MCXtrema, proving the Trident remains committed to blending exclusivity, heritage, and cutting-edge engineering.

As collectors increasingly seek authenticity, rarity, and historical significance, the MC12’s Monterey performance confirms its place not only as Maserati’s crown jewel of the 21st century but also as one of the most important supercars of its generation.

Unveiled at the Audrain Newport Concours in October 2019, the DBZ Centenary Collection celebrated Aston Martin and Zagato’s partnership by offering two cars as a pair: a track-only DB4 GT Zagato Continuation and a modern DBS Superleggera–based DBS GT Zagato, priced together at over $6 million. All 19 sets sold quickly, with buyers receiving the DB4 GT Zagato first after Aston Martin’s Heritage Division devoted 4,500 hours to each build.

Now available through Sotheby’s Motorsport, this DBS GT Zagato is Car #1—the prototype that set the standard for the 19-car production run. Unlike the others, it is the only example finished in fully exposed gloss carbon fiber, a detail that sets it apart from the painted models. Originally sold as part of the $6 million DBZ Centenary Collection, it was paired with a DB4 GT Zagato Continuation car, marking the pinnacle of Aston Martin and Zagato’s six-decade partnership.

Built on the DBS Superleggera platform, it features a 5.2L twin-turbo V12 engine producing approximately 760 hp, enabling a 0–60 mph time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed exceeding 210 mph. Its design showcases Zagato hallmarks: the double-bubble roof, wraparound windshield, muscular haunches, and a distinctive grille inspired by the DB4 GT Zagato.

With just 881 miles, the car remains in near-new condition, protected by paint protection film across its carbon fiber body. Additional exterior features includes satin black wheels, black calipers, gloss carbon mirrors, and both black and original silver grilles. Inside, the cabin is finished in Obsidian Black leather with matching stitching, featuring heavyweight carpets and a carbon-fiber/leather steering wheel. The interior is complemented by a Bang & Olufsen audio system and 3D-printed carbon trim.

One-Off Ferrari Daytona SP3 Sold For A Staggering $26 Million At Monterey Car Week Charity Auction

OK, wow! Ferrari just raised a very, very, very large amount of money for the Ferrari Foundation. In July, Maranello announced that it would put a special 2025 Daytona SP3 on the block, with RM Sotheby's handling the gavel. This mid-engine V12 hypercar was built specifically for this charity auction, and it received plenty of extra goodies thanks to Ferrari's Tailor Made treatment. When the dust cleared, following what was described as a pretty lusty bidding process, the price had risen to a whopping $26 million. That's quite a big higher than the Daytona SP3's original sticker price of $2.2 million.

That's the highest hammer price ever for a modern car at auction, and it's the 13th most expensive car ever sold at auction period — it was about $700,000 above than the next-highest sale at this year's Pebble Beach auctions, a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder that Gooding sold. Ferrari played this one quite well: the Daytona SP3 originally had a limited run of 599 examples, but this Tailor Made car, while technically number 600, was designated "599+1," with a plaque to prove it. The result amplifies the success of Ferrari's Icona lineup, which debuted in 2018 with the Monza SP1 and SP2, a pair of rather glorious and exceptionally expensive barchettas.

Ferrari

As we reported when the Daytona SP3 auction car was revealed, this one-off car is distinctive. The Giallo Modena "Ferrari" lettering stretches across the car's top surface, making a statement that one could call garish, but that one shouldn't as the many dollars this transaction raised will be used to do things like rebuild schools destroyed by the horrific wildfires that struck Southern California earlier this year.

The SP3 is a throwback to Ferrari's racing lineage of the 1960s. This includes the marque's famous 1-2-3 victory at the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1967 with the 330 P/4, getting some payback after Ford's sweep of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966 (Ford still scored the win at Le Mans in 1967, with Ferrari grabbing second place). The Daytona SP3 carries a 6.5-liter V12 amidships, making 829 naturally aspirated ponies and boasting a 0-to-60-mph time of 2.85 seconds, according to Ferrari. The power is piped through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission to the rear wheels.

Interior fabrics come from recycled tires and are adorned with Ferrari's prancing horse motif, while the steering column and dashboard get a carbon-fiber treatment borrowed, of course, from Ferrari's F1 program.

Ferrari

The auction-winning car is utterly rad, but 599+1 is, I'd wager, unlikely to be spotted taking a spin around the block. That's for the mere $2-million-plus SP3's that had all previously been sold. It will certainly be interesting to see where the car turns up, and what its history might be from here on out.

Ferrari continues to leverage these exotic, invitation-only models to bolster its bottom line, the desirability of the SP3 Tailor Made example vindicating that strategy at a level maybe even Maranello couldn't have anticipated. The auto industry is going through a fairly chaotic episode at the moment, so it's exciting that what many consider to be the greatest car brand of all time can still bring home the thrills. I was personally a tad cynical about the Icona cars when I initially heard about them, but a little stationary seat time was all it took to abandon that crankiness.

All eyes are on how Ferrari will negotiate the transition from the combustion era to the electric age, but for now, let's take a pause to appreciate how bonkers a gas-burning V12 the prancing horse can still create. And how many dollars such a machine can snare from deep-pocketed collectors.

From 1984 to 1987, Porsche and McLaren formed one of the most successful partnerships in Formula One. Powered by Porsche’s TAG turbocharged V6, McLaren won 25 Grands Prix, 18 fastest laps, and five world titles. With funding from Mansour Ojjeh’s Techniques d’Avant Garde (TAG), Porsche launched Project 2623, developing the 1.5-liter twin-turbo V6.

Bench tested in 1982 and raced in 1983, it dominated the 1984 season, securing Lauda’s third Drivers’ Championship and McLaren’s Constructors’ crown. By 1986, output reached nearly 1,000 horsepower, helping Alain Prost claim two titles. The partnership ended in 1987, but Porsche continued to experiment with road car applications, secretly fitting the V6 engine into a 930 Turbo. Decades later, Lanzante Limited revived the idea, crafting 11 bespoke 930 TAG Turbos that blended Formula One power with reengineered, lightweight 911s.

One of the eleven Porsche 930 TAG Turbos built by Lanzante, offered with 229 miles since restoration, is available for sale at Broad Arrow Private Sales. This Lanzante 930 TAG Turbo, one of only 11 produced, carries the designation “AP85” for its 1.5-liter TTE engine, serial number 043. The very engine once powered Alain Prost to second-place finishes at the 1985 Dutch Grand Prix and 1986 French Grand Prix during his championship seasons, and later served Stefan Johansson at the 1987 Monaco and French Grands Prix.

The donor car, a 1987 Porsche 911 Turbo, was sourced from the U.S. and transformed by Lanzante. Finished in Schiefergrau with a Manor Red and Black leather interior, it features houndstooth seat inserts, contrasting stitching, embossed logos, and a steering wheel with debossed Porsche script.

Exterior highlights include TAG side graphics, full paint protection film, and Silver Gloss RUF wheels. Delivered with both Comfort and Sports seat sets, LED headlights, and just 229 miles since completion, this vehicle comes with a dedicated laptop, charger, car cover, and a bespoke owner’s manual.

$26m Ferrari Daytona SP3 Is Most Expensive Post-2000 Car Ever Sold At Auction

Costing roughly £1.7 million when new, the Ferrari Daytona SP3 was not what anyone would ever call a cheap car. The extra 600th chassis built by Ferrari for a special charity auction, though, has just made those original 599 examples look like Kia Picantos by comparison, because at its sale at Monterey Car Week over the weekend, it went for a staggering $26 million.

That’s about £19.2 million, or around 11 times what a ‘standard’ Daytona would have cost new. Put another way, it’s the 13th-most expensive car to ever publicly sell at auction, and comfortably the most expensive built this millennium, handily smashing the $18.8 million hammer price of a 2013 Mercedes F1 car back in 2023.

Ferrari Daytona SP3 - interior

What makes all this particularly staggering is that, besides its special livery crafted by Ferrari’s Tailor Made division and its new interior trim made from recycled tyres, there was very little to set this car apart from a regular Daytona SP3.

Granted, with an 829bhp, naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 sitting amidships – quite possibly the last time such an engine will be found in a mid-engined Ferrari – the SP3’s already quite a special thing. Inevitably, for a limited-run Ferrari, values already seem to be going up on them too – as we write this, there’s one listed for sale in the UK for £4.95 million.

Ferrari Daytona SP3 - rear

The astonishing hammer price for what Ferrari calls ‘Chassis 599+1’, though, seems to have largely been driven by sheer goodwill. All the proceeds from the car are to be donated to The Ferrari Foundation, a charity dedicated to supporting educational initiatives. Its recent work has included helping fund the rebuild of a school destroyed by the Californian wildfires earlier this year.

It’s a bit of an unprecedented price for a post-2000 road car – indeed, the next-most valuable 21st century car that wasn’t a significant F1 machine was the one-off Bugatti Chiron Profilee, which sold for ‘just’ $10.6 million a few years ago. Will it open the floodgates for more modern machinery to start mixing it with the usual 1950s and ’60s fare in the very highest echelons of car auctions?

Auction houses sold lots of expensive cars this past weekend during Monterey Car Week. Perhaps none more surprisingly expensive than this, a one-off Ferrari Daytona SP3 that sold for $26 million at the RM Sotheby's auction. That's over 10 times the original MSRP.

It was for charity, though, with proceeds benefitting the Ferrari Foundation, a 501(c)(3) that supports education. The car also represented the last chance to buy a new SP3.

The Daytona SP3 debuted as part of Ferrari's "Icona" series in 2021, with the automaker building just 599 examples at a starting price of around $2.25 million. Essentially a LaFerrari minus the hybrid system and featuring new bodywork inspired by the P3 and P4 prototypes of the 1960s, the SP3 was immediately a huge hit with collectors, with examples trading for far above MSRP. Though not typically 10 times MSRP.

This one is a brand-new car. Ferrari made it just for this occasion, with a bespoke exposed carbon fiber and yellow livery with the Ferrari logo running the length of the car, plus a custom interior filled with prancing horse motifs.

RM Sotheby's confirmed that this is the most expensive new Ferrari ever sold at auction, and it was its biggest result from the Monterey event. The next priciest car was another Ferrari, an F40 LM that sold for a little over $11 million. A bargain, relatively speaking.

In fact, this Ferrari was the most expensive car sold at any auction this weekend. As Hagerty reports, the next most expensive car was a 1961 Ferrari 250 California Spyder Competizione that went for a bit over $25 million at the Gooding Christie's event.

Collecting Cars Sealed Bids is a new way to buy blue-chip cars

Online auction marketplace Collecting Cars has launched a new car auction format called Sealed Bids – where only bidders know their position and only winners know the final price.

Sealed Bids will focus on blue-chip classics and supercars, and any car in the world is eligible… provided it costs more than £250,000.

During each seven-day Sealed Bids auction, all parties remain anonymous until the winning bidder is connected with the seller after the auction closes.

Auctions follow the same seven-day format as Collecting Cars auctions. The only difference is that the pre-vetted bidders will never know how much the other bids are for.

They also won’t know what the car ultimately sells for, or who the other bidders were. The aim is to keep competition discreet, preserve the integrity of the sale and help protect future values for all parties.

“With Sealed Bids, we’re addressing the evolving needs of the collector car market,” said Collecting Cars founder Edward Lovett.

“Buyers and sellers increasingly seek a process that balances transparency and professionalism with the privacy essential for high-value transactions.”

Sealed Bids will provide “a discreet, structured environment where collectors can confidently compete for rare cars, or those requiring a more discreet sales approach”.

Six cars are confirmed to go live in the inaugural auction, which commences on 28 August. They “perfectly illustrate the calibre of collector-grade cars that will benefit from this new format,” said Lovett.

Following the inaugural auction, which completes on 4 September, the aim is for four to six exotic cars to be auctioned by Sealed Bids each month.

As with Collecting Cars, winning bidders only pay the hammer price – with no buyer’s premium – while sellers pay a pre-agreed fee.

Since its launch in 2019, Collecting Cars has sold more than 20,000 lots and generated sales of more than £900 million.

More than 70 supercars worth £7million have been seized by police officers across London, including a pair of purple Lamborghinis, alongside Ferraris and Porsches.

In a weekend-long operation, led by the Met Police and supported by the Motor Insurers' Bureau (MIB), up to 72 vehicles with a collective value of almost £7million were taken across the capital.

New images have shown an array of flash sports cars confiscated across Hyde Park, Kensington and Chelsea, with the MIB working alongside officers to impound the extravagant vehicles.

The crackdown by Scotland Yard comes amid reports of anti-social and dangerous driving, alongside drivers being a 'nuisance' across hotspot areas of London.

One of the drivers of the two purple Lamborghinis had been in the country for just two hours and driving for 15 minutes when the luxury car was seized, the MIB said.

Up to 75 Met police officers worked to seize the uninsured vehicles, using specialist methods such as ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition), predictive movement tracking and vehicle markers.

Several other types of criminal activity were also detected throughout the operation, including individuals wanted for actual bodily harm (ABH) and criminal damage, drug offences, immigration offences, stolen vehicles and even fraudulent insurance policies.

Meanwhile, some drivers were also found to have been on the roads without a valid licence, using a mobile phone while driving, not wearing a seatbelt and having illegally tinted windows.

Special Chief Officer James Deller from the Met Police, who was in attendance at the operation, said that the operation represented the force's commitment to tackling anti-social behaviour.

He added: 'This operation was set up to respond to resident, business and visitors’ concerns about high-value vehicles causing a nuisance in known hotspot areas in central and west London.'

SCO Deller said that the crackdown had been a 'real success' in helping to educate drivers and enforce the law, adding that the force were working to address anti-social behaviour caused by uninsured drivers.

Meanwhile, Martin Saunders, Head of Uninsured Driving Prevention at MIB, urged motorists to 'check their insurance policy is in place, is appropriate for their needs and to reach out to their insurer if they are unsure on any part of their policy.'

He added: 'While many offenders knowingly violated the law, others fell victim to simple mistakes such as bounced payments, failed renewals or incorrect details.'

Mr Saunders also confirmed that both the Met and MIB 'plan to continue enforcement and education efforts throughout the year'.

A previous clampdown by the Met Police in August last year saw a haul of supercars worth £6million seized as boy racers were accused of using London as 'their own personal racetrack'.

It came after concerns had been raised about the streets of central London becoming more like 'racetracks' - prompting officers to swoop into action.

Metropolitan Police Special Inspector Geoff Tatman said: 'The Met is working to put communities first - listening to and tackling their concerns.

'This hugely successful operation has proved we are dealing with those crimes, such as anti-social driving, that is causing most distress to residents and tourists.'

He insisted officers were 'doubling down on crime on the roads' as he praised the 'hard work and dedication' of Scotland Yard's volunteer special constables.

Mr Titman described them as playing 'a vital role in our mission to make London safer' as they 'kindly give up their free time to help serve the community'.

Council chiefs suggested similar further moves could lie ahead.

Cabinet member for city management Paul Dimoldenberg said: 'People who think it is okay to use our roads as their own private racetrack late at night are not welcome in Westminster.

'The noise and dangerous driving from these boy racers is often worse during the summer, so I welcome these results from the enforcement work'.

Last September, a driver pleaded with police to 'let him off' as it was his wedding day after they found he had no insurance on a £200,000 Lamborghini.

The soon-to-be groom was picked up by road traffic officers following four reports that the lime-green sports car had been speeding.

They ran checks on the convertible vehicle - after stopping it in Bury, Greater Manchester - which showed it did not have any damage protection.

The man then tried to use his upcoming nuptials to plead with officers to spare him punishment.

But Greater Manchester Police joked that as they had 'no confetti on hand', they ignored his request and 'threw six penalty points' at him instead.

The officers also seized the vehicle.

Meanwhile, just month it was revealed that more than 30 locations across London have been identified as the worst for anti-social behaviour, theft and street crime.

Some 20 town centre and high street areas now account for 10 per cent of knife crime, 24 per cent of theft person offences and 6 per cent of anti-social behaviour calls.

These have been identified as 'Tier 1' regions - including town centres in Barking, Brixton , Ealing, Croydon, Woolwich, Ilford, Kingston, Romford and Shoreditch.

Other hotspots include Elephant and Castle, Finsbury Park, Seven Sisters, Shepherd's Bush Green, Silver Street, Stratford, Walthamstow, Whitechapel, Camden Town and Catford. The West End, which has been particularly badly hit, is also on the list.

A further 12 areas were listed as 'Tier 2' areas, including town centres of Bromley, Uxbridge and Richmond along with high streets in Sutton, Hounslow and Tooting.

Whilst some motoring enthusiasts have mastered the art of spotting the subtle details behind the world's most exquisite vehicles, there's something about this particular sports car that will remain invisible to virtually everyone.

For decades, Porsche has quietly maintained its position amongst the globe's most esteemed automotive brands, but now the German manufacturer is witnessing a replica variant of one of their machines heading to auction with a starting bid of an eye-watering £2.5 million.

It's probable that only those fortunate enough to have piloted the breathtaking Riviera blue 2021 Ruf CTR Anniversary will understand what distinguishes it from the pack.

Courtesy of its 3.6-litre twin-turbo engine that produces 710bhp, the fortunate buyer will experience a machine capable of reaching an astonishing 213mph.

If that isn't sufficient to entice automotive enthusiasts, this motor represents merely one of 50 in existence and can sprint from nought to 60mph in less than three-and-a-half seconds.

However, it's not solely the vehicle's potent engine that separates it from rivals - it also showcases remarkable craftsmanship both externally and internally.

According to the listing on auctioneers RM Sotheby's website, the car's appointments are described as "uniquely specified", featuring an opulent "Riviera blue" exterior finish.

Peering inside reveals "special black buffalo leather" trim with matching "Riviera blue" threading woven into the stitching.

Meanwhile, the seats showcase "signature 'lollipop' fixed-back Kevlar-carbon and pepita inserts".

Furthermore, the owner's refined taste is evident in his unique requests: "In line with his distinguished taste, the consignor not only ordered this CTR Anniversary in a one-off colourway, but also demanded every carbon fibre option available, as well as the ever-useful front-axle lift system, lightweight doors, Riviera Blue seatbacks, Riviera Blue seatbelts, and a black Alcantara headliner.

"The car's Riviera Blue calipers of its carbon-ceramic brake system are tucked within custom-ordered light alloy wheels finished in Matte Titanium."

The Ruf CTR Anniversary first made waves a few years ago when it was unveiled at the 87th Geneva Motor Show in March 2017.

This stunning Riviera blue Ruf CTR anniversary car pays homage to the original model, which ceased production in 1996 after a run of just 29 cars over nine years.

The vehicle is set to go under the hammer at RM Sotheby's on Saturday (August 16) in Monterey, California, US.

The Bugatti Divo is a limited-production hypercar built as a coachbuilt evolution of the Chiron, designed for agility and cornering prowess rather than top-speed runs. Named after Albert Divo, a two-time Targa Florio winner, it marks Bugatti’s first coachbuilt model of the 21st century and was limited to just 40 units, all of which were pre-sold to Chiron owners before its public debut.

Though it shares its monstrous 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine with the Chiron—delivering 1,500 horsepower and 1,180 lb-ft of torque—the Divo is a more focused machine. With a reworked suspension, stiffer chassis tuning, and a 77-pound weight reduction, the Divo was engineered for superior handling.

Aerodynamic changes, including a massive fixed rear wing, a reprofiled diffuser, and additional downforce elements, boost downforce to 456 kg—90 kg more than the Chiron. Top speed is electronically limited to 236 mph, and 0-60 comes in just 2.4 seconds.

The bodywork is aggressively sculpted with improved airflow and wider intakes. Inside, the Divo combines motorsport functionality with luxury: Alcantara, anodized metal, and carbon fiber dominate the interior, accented by Divo Racing Blue and a tribute to Rembrandt Bugatti, featuring a small elephant motif.

This rare 2020 Bugatti Divo is the first of its kind to be offered at auction and has seen fewer than 800 miles from two owners. Originally delivered to Florida, it was featured at the Petersen Museum’s “Hypercars: The Allure of the Extreme” exhibit. It is accompanied by its original wheels, manual, accessories, and supplemental book.

It will be offered by Bonhams Cars at their upcoming Quail Auction on August 15, with an estimated value of $7,000,000 to $9,000,000.

There are certain things you expect to see at a farm estate sale. Mowers, plows, grain silos—you get the idea. Maybe there’s a derelict car, likely an American classic that’s seen better days, and that’s usually the highlight of the whole affair. What you most definitely do not expect to find is a pristine Ferrari F40, like the one that will soon go to a new owner as part of Santa Paula Hay & Grain’s bankruptcy auction next week.

Indeed, this rare, U.S.-spec Ferrari F40 was delivered to Southern California in early ’91—but it didn’t stay there. It traveled the country, passing between five owners. It flew to the East Coast and lived in Pennsylvania for a bit, then had stints in Oklahoma and Utah before finding its way back to the Golden State. In 2020, it ended up in the care of Santa Paula Hay & Grain, and now, Icon Servicing is the court-appointed broker to sell it.

Because this is a federal auction, whatever the winning party bids is what they will pay, with no buyer or seller fees. RM Sotheby’s has submitted an early “stalking horse” bid of $2.55 million, but there’s also a buy-it-now price listed at $5 million. That’s pretty high, even for an F40; Enzo Ferrari’s last creation tends to change hands at about $2.6 million these days, per Classic.com. If someone other than RM makes a play for this F40, that’s at least what they’ll have to spend.

Nevertheless, if you or anybody you know wants an F40 in their driveway, this is the time to do it. We’re right on the cusp of Monterey Car Week, and even though the F40 is arguably the most beloved of all Ferrari’s supercars, it also happens to be the least rare.

More than 1,300 F40s were built between 1987 and 1996, including racing chassis, with just 213 of those going to American buyers. U.S. cars were heavier than their European counterparts, owing to standard air conditioning, catalytic converters, and additional strengthening for low-speed crashes. On the flip side, they also incorporated aluminum fuel tanks rather than bladder-style cells that require regular replacement.

So we have a rare spec of an iconic Ferrari, belonging to a farm, and auctioned under court order. The F40 might not be Maranello’s most exclusive creation, but no other F40 will have a provenance quite like this one.

The Apollo Intensa Emozione, or “IE,” is one of the most dramatic hypercars ever produced. Built by Apollo Automobili in partnership with Manifattura Automobili Torino, this extreme machine is limited to just ten units worldwide, with only four delivered to the United States.

A pure celebration of analog driving, the IE combines motorsport-grade hardware, a naturally aspirated V12 engine, and a carbon-fiber monocoque to deliver visceral performance and styling inspired by nature, science fiction, and Le Mans prototypes.

Power comes from a 6.3-liter V12 engine developed in collaboration with Autotecnica Motori, producing 780 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 760 Nm of torque. Mated to a 6-speed Hewland sequential transmission, the IE launches from 0–60 mph in just 2.7 seconds and tops out at 217 mph.

Its pushrod suspension, featuring Bilstein three-way adjustability, and Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes ensure race-ready handling and stopping power. The design, crafted from exposed carbon fiber, generates 1,350 kg of downforce at 299 km/h and features organic, flowing surfaces, making it both functional and otherworldly.

This particular example, dubbed Ocean Dragon, was delivered new in June 2023 and made its debut at the Concorso Ferrari in Connecticut before appearing at Monterey Car Week. Its color-shifting bare carbon body transitions from deep blue to green, embodying its aquatic namesake.

With just 340 miles, the car was partially disassembled during a personalization project and will require mechanical recommissioning and interior completion. Offered with key components and spares, it presents an opportunity to finish one of the world’s rarest hypercars to taste.

Bonhams Cars will offer this 2022 Apollo Intensa Emozione “Ocean Dragon” at The Quail Auction on August 15, with an estimated price of $2,500,000–$3,500,000.

Awesome Pagani Zonda 'Attack' for sale

The Pagani Zonda story is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating of modern supercar history. Its origins were relatively humble, at least by the standards of Italian exotica, with somewhere around 400hp from the 6.0-litre AMG V12; given what was to follow, too, the styling was quite restrained. If, by the standards of 1999, like something from outer space.

Having never made a supercar before, though of course boasting plenty of experience from his time at Lamborghini, Horacio Pagani made a world beater. Then the Zonda just kept getting better and better and better. Typically cars will be evolved and improved over time, then replaced altogether, but that was never quite the case with the Zonda. Models like the 7.3-litre S and then F made sense as progressions of the formula, then it all went berserk: derivatives like the R, Cinque and Tricolore were very, very different prospects to those that had come before.

And even when the turbocharged Huayra replacement arrived, Zondas continued to come. Pagani had become too legendary for its original V12, and the demand could not be satisfied. The Wikipedia page for the Zonda suggests they were officially made for 20 years from 1999-2019, albeit with ‘special edition/one-off models still occasionally built in limited numbers’. You can say that again. The last car Pagani ever makes will probably be a Zonda - it’s one of the defining supercars of the 21st century in a way that the Huayra isn’t quite.

Whatever, the constant development and finessing of the Zonda by the factory means that all of them now, surely, deviate one way or another from original spec. This one represents perhaps the ultimate evolution of what can be achieved with a roadgoing Zonda from the factory (i.e. not a road converted R), and therefore has to be one of the most desirable on the planet. It’s known as the Attack, appropriately enough, and you might recognise it from a well known car collector on Instagram. After a couple of years and 1,500 miles in its latest incarnation, it’s time for pastures new.

Even by Zonda standards, it’s a phenomenal machine. Having begun life as a prototype F all the way back in 2007, the spec now includes the 760 derivative of the V12 - you can probably guess the power output - with power still reaching the rear wheels via a six-speed manual. Which would be exciting enough on its own, but the Attack also gets a few parts from the Cinque - visual carbon splitter, skirts, sills diffuser - rear lights like an R and body panels like the other 760hp builds. This is very evidently not ‘just’ a Zonda F anymore. The colour is unique - Grigio Knockhill, which is fun - and paired with extra visual carbon outside.

It’s utterly spectacular, of course. Even all these years later, there’s nothing to get a grown up car enthusiast all giddy like a Zonda, especially one in such a sensational configuration. You might go as far to call it the zenith of the traditional supercar, with all that power from a naturally aspirated V12, a manual gearbox and a focus on being a road car first and foremost. Certainly it’s hard to think of anything much more evocative that’s been produced by the Italian supercar makers over the past 20 years or so. Just don’t be surprised if it also costs more than anything else produced by the other makers; Zondas are incredibly valuable cars these days. Still, with very good reason at least.

                  FOR SALE: 2014 McLaren P1

This 2014 McLaren P1, chassis number 2, is an exceptional example of the hybrid hypercar that redefined performance in the last decade. Originally finished in painted carbon fiber and delivered through McLaren Greenwich in Connecticut, the car was later returned to the factory in 2015 for a conversion to exposed carbon fiber. Only four or five P1s were factory-built with this finish after production ended, and this is the sole example that was converted from painted to exposed carbon fibre by McLaren itself.

Beneath its striking green exposed carbon fiber exterior lies a complex and highly advanced machine. The P1 combines a 3.8L twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 727 hp with a 177 hp electric motor, integrated into a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Total output is 903 HP and over 700 lb-ft of torque. Inspired by Formula 1, it uses IPAS for instant power delivery and DRS for enhanced straight-line speed. Performance is staggering: 0–60 MPH in 2.7 seconds and 0–185 MPH in 16.5 seconds.

The P1’s MonoCage carbon monocoque weighs just 180 pounds and is reinforced with Kevlar. Advanced aerodynamics, including a RaceActive Chassis Control system and a massive adjustable rear wing, produce over 1,300 pounds of downforce at 160 MPH. The carbon-ceramic brakes, developed in collaboration with Akebono, enable the car to halt from 120 MPH in just 380 feet.

A green metallic lacquer complements the 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels, wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero tires, which tie them into the overall design. This colour theme continues inside with green carbon-fiber accents and contrast stitching on the black leather upholstery. True to McLaren’s driver-focused philosophy, the P1 features racing-style seats and purpose-built controls, while still offering comfort amenities like climate control, navigation, carpeting, and a premium Meridian audio system.

This 2014 McLaren P1 is currently up for grabs on Bring a Trailer, alongside a 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder and a 2014 Ferrari LaFerrari, as part of Silver Arrow Cars’ Hypercar Holy Trinity Collection.

Ultra-Rare 2014 LaFerrari in Blu Elettrico Live on BaT

Unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the LaFerrari was Ferrari’s first hybrid production car. It pairs a 6.3L V12 engine producing 788 horsepower with a 161-horsepower electric motor for a combined output of 949 horsepower. The HY-KERS system, derived from F1 technology, efficiently merges both power sources.

The electric motor’s torque enabled the V12 to reach higher peak power, with a 9,250 RPM redline and over 663 lb-ft of torque. The LaFerrari features a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis with double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension, typical of modern supercars. For braking, it uses high-performance Brembo carbon-ceramic discs.

Ferrari claimed a top speed of over 217 mph, matching the Enzo, but with superior acceleration: 0–62 mph in under 2.4 seconds and 186 mph in just 15 seconds. Production ended in January 2016, after 499 units were built, all of which were sold before assembly began. It retailed for over $1.3 million and was reserved for Ferrari’s top clients.

This LaFerrari listed for sale on Bring a Trailer is a 2014 example finished in Blu Elettrico—one of only three in this color and the only one for the U.S. market. It features a black roof, carbon-fiber trim, 19″ and 20″ forged alloy wheels, a front spoiler, functional air intakes, and an active aero system with an adaptive rear wing and diffuser flaps. Factory extras include Scuderia Ferrari shields, bi-xenon headlights, a rear camera, and anti-chip paint film.

The interior is upholstered in Beige Honolulu leather with matching lower dash trim and exposed carbon-fiber door panels and console. It also features black Alcantara accents, a carbon-fiber dash panel with a body-color stripe and Tricolore emblem, Prancing Horse headrest embroidery, air conditioning, Bluetooth audio, and USB ports.

One of just 50 road-going Maserati MC12 Stradale built to homologate the FIA GT1 championship-dominating racer, this example represents a rare opportunity to acquire a key piece of modern motorsport history.

Developed from the Ferrari Enzo, the MC12 features a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 producing 630 horsepower and 481 lb-ft of torque, mated to a six-speed paddle-shift gearbox. Constructed around a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis and equipped with pushrod suspension and carbon-ceramic brakes, it delivers performance on par with its Ferrari sibling while offering more downforce and exclusivity.

Finished in Bianco Fuji pearlescent white with signature blue accents over a Blu leather and BrighTex fabric interior, this 2005 example was designed to evoke Maserati’s storied racing heritage. The odometer indicates just over 11,500 kilometers at the time of cataloging.

Notably, the car underwent a comprehensive $70,000 mechanical recommissioning by GTO Engineering in July 2025, which included engine and transmission servicing, clutch replacement, and a refresh of the brake system, ensuring it was in peak condition.

Originally delivered to the U.S., chassis ZAMDF44B000012095 has resided on both coasts, receiving routine maintenance from marque specialists. The MC12’s blend of competition-derived engineering and dramatic road presence has cemented its reputation as a true modern homologation special.

This collector-grade Maserati MC12 Stradale will be offered at Broad Arrow Auctions’ Monterey sale on August 13, 2025, with an estimate of up to $5,500,000, offering a rare chance to own one of the 21st century’s most iconic supercars.

A rare and extreme iteration of Lamborghini’s famed V12 supercar, this 2000 Lamborghini Diablo GT is number 67 of just 80 produced. It will be offered by RM Sotheby’s at their Monterey auction on August 15–16, with an estimated value of $1,300,000 to $1,600,000.

Built as a road-legal, track-focused version of the Diablo, the GT featured dramatic styling revisions—including a racing-style front air dam, wide OZ wheels, flared fenders, roof-mounted air intake, carbon fiber rear wing, and race-developed rear diffuser. Extensive carbon fiber panels and a stripped-down cabin, featuring racing seats, helped reduce the weight by over 260 pounds compared to the original Diablo.

Powered by a 6.0-liter naturally aspirated V12 producing 575 horsepower, the GT delivered 0–60 mph in 3.9 seconds and topped out at 210 mph. This particular example was originally delivered to Touring Auto in Milan and is finished in striking Arancio Atlas over an orange and black leather interior. It underwent a complete engine rebuild by Lamborghini St. Gallen in 2017 and, most recently, received annual servicing in 2024, which included fluid changes and system repairs.

With only around 3,000 Diablos produced in total, the GT’s limited run makes it one of the rarest and most sought-after Lamborghini models. Showing just over 63,000 kilometers (~39,500 miles), this Diablo GT represents a compelling opportunity for collectors seeking one of the most hardcore V12 Lamborghinis of the analog era.

The McLaren F1, now 30 years old, is a well-established legend. Launched in 1992, examples sell today well into the millions of dollars. There's an F1 heading to auction next month that could go for $23 million or more when the hammer drops.

The 1997 F1 in question, sold new to Oracle Software CEO Larry Ellison, has had three total owners and has accumulated less than 6,500 miles. Chassis 062 features several McLaren Special Operations upgrades, such as a sport exhaust (the original comes with the car), an upgraded air conditioning system, upgraded radiators, and an aluminum fuel tank.

The car underwent a major service in October 2023, getting a rebuilt transmission, new spark plugs, and four new tires on the original magnesium wheels. It also got a new battery, a correct windshield, and some repairs made by McLaren Philadelphia to the gold foil that lines the engine bay surrounding the BMW-sourced 6.1-liter V-12.

The McLaren, one of seven imported to the United States, wears Magnesium Silver with a black leather interior and a gray driver’s seat insert. Ellison put only 2,600 miles on the car before selling it in 2005. The second owner sold it to its current owner in 2010, having driven it less than 1,000 miles.

The car has lived its entire life in California, and that’s where RM Sotheby’s will auction it off next month during Monterey Car Week. If it sells for as much as the auction house values it at, it could become one of the most expensive F1s ever sold.

One of fewer than 50 ever built, this 2010 Ferrari 599XX equipped with the coveted Evo package is an ultra-rare, factory-developed track car born from Ferrari’s XX Programme—an elite, invitation-only initiative reserved for the brand’s most loyal clients. Based on the 599 GTB Fiorano but heavily reengineered, the 599XX Evo is not street legal and was never offered for public sale. Instead, Ferrari assigned cars to Corse Clienti members for use in exclusive track events worldwide.

The Evo upgrade, introduced in 2011, elevated the car’s 6.0-liter naturally aspirated V-12 to 740 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, with a redline of 9,000 rpm. Key enhancements included a shortened final drive, Formula One-inspired active aerodynamics with a DRS-equipped twin-profile rear wing, revised suspension, lightweight side-exit exhaust, and bespoke Pirelli slicks. With a Fiorano lap time of just 1:15, it outpaced even the Ferrari Enzo.

This car is finished in Rosso Fuoco, featuring a silver roof and rear wing, and is equipped with the rare Evo upgrade package. That package brought active aerodynamics—including a Formula One-style DRS rear wing—along with revised suspension, lightweight exhaust, and custom Pirelli racing slicks. Lap times at Ferrari’s Fiorano test track dropped to just 1:15, quicker than the Enzo and on par with GT-class racers.

Delivered new to a member of Ferrari’s exclusive Corse Clienti program, chassis 175808 participated in Ferrari-run track events at circuits such as Nürburgring, Silverstone, Mugello, and Daytona. Like all XX Programme cars, it was maintained and transported by Ferrari, with telemetry and engineering support included.

Accompanied by two specialized racing flight cases, this 599XX Evo will be offered by RM Sotheby’s at their Monterey auction on August 15–16 and could fetch as much as $3,500,000.

One of just 40 examples ever built—and only seven delivered to the U.S.—this 2022 Lamborghini Essenza SCV12, chassis 11604, is a pristine, unraced hypercar offered with delivery miles and will be auctioned by Broad Arrow Auctions at Monterey on August 13, with an estimated value of $1,600,000 to $2,200,000.

Developed by Lamborghini’s Squadra Corse motorsport division and styled by Centro Stile, the SCV12 is a track-only special featuring a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 producing over 819 hp, mated to a six-speed Xtrac sequential gearbox. Built under FIA prototype safety standards, it channels power exclusively to the rear wheels. It generates a staggering 2,650 pounds of downforce at 155 mph, thanks to race-grade aerodynamics and lightweight magnesium wheels paired with Pirelli slicks.

Finished in Rosso Scintilla over Nero Cosmus Alcantara, chassis 11604 is the only SCV12 to feature factory-tinted exposed carbon fiber on its mirrors, engine cover, and rear wing. It comes with a carbon-fiber yoke steering wheel (in addition to a leather-wrapped OMP unit) and a bespoke OMP racing suit for its next owner.

As part of the SCV12 club, this car offers immediate eligibility for Lamborghini’s global track-day events with full factory support. Scheduled events for 2025 include Barcelona and Misano, with additional events planned for 2026. Additional benefits include access to Lamborghini’s storage and driver development program in Sant’Agata Bolognese.

One-of-Four Ruf CTR 2 Sport AWD Is Headed to Auction

One of the rarest air-cooled Porsche 911s of the 1990s will soon cross the Broad Arrow auction block as part of its Monterey Jet Center sale: A 1998 Ruf CTR 2 Sport. It is one of 14 built, one of four ordered with all-wheel drive, and it benefits from a documented history and low mileage.

Ruf unveiled the CTR 2 in 1995 as a follow-up to the CTR, famously nicknamed Yellowbird. The CTR set the bar for performance sky-high: With a top speed of 211 mph, it was the fastest car in the world. For context, Ferrari quoted a top speed of 201 mph for the F40, and the rally-bred Porsche 959 was capable of hitting 197. Then again, Ruf wasn’t your average tuner shop; the changes it made to the CTR were done with meticulous care and thoughtful engineering. The CTR 2 had a lot to live up to, then.

Based on the final evolution of the air-cooled 911, the 993, the CTR 2 was powered by a twin-turbocharged, 3.6-liter flat-six engine rated at 520 horsepower and 505 pound-feet of torque. It took 3.6 seconds to reach 60 mph from a stop, a figure that’s still impressive by modern standards, and it boasted a top speed of 217 mph. It came with rear-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission, and buyers could order all-wheel drive (a first for Ruf) at an extra cost. Notably, the system allowed the driver to manually adjust the torque split between the front and rear axles.

Ruf also went to significant lengths to make the CTR 2 lighter than the 993. The list of standard features included carbon-ceramic brakes, then a rarity in the realm of production cars, composite bumpers, and a composite hood. And yet, the CTR 2 offered a luxurious interior.

The CTR 2 was widely celebrated as an improvement over the CTR. Mission accomplished, then? Well, Ruf saw room for improvement, and the company released a more hardcore evolution of the car called CTR 2 Sport with a 580-horsepower engine, punched-out wheel arches that cleared space for wider tires and even bigger brakes, and comprehensive suspension changes to hone the car for track use. The Sport model showed what it was capable of by taking second overall in the 1997 Pikes Peak hill climb.

Assigned chassis number W09BC0360WPR06007, Broad Arrow’s 1998 CTR 2 Sport was ordered new by Frank Beddor, who ticked the “all-wheel-drive” box on the list of options. It’s an American-market car that was originally finished in non-metallic black with a black interior. In 2007, New Jersey-based Richard Gundeck bought this CTR 2 Sport from the Beddor family and sent it back to Ruf’s headquarters in Germany, where the shop repaired cosmetic damage sustained during shipping and performed several modifications, replacing the black interior with one entirely in green, and installing Bilstein PSS10 coilovers. The car returned to the United States, where it changed hands twice.

This CTR 2 Sport has crossed the Atlantic twice, yet its odometer displays merely 16,679 miles (that’s an annual average of approximately 620 miles). It still features the green interior installed at the Ruf factory during Gundeck’s ownership, it’s still finished in non-metallic black, and Broad Arrow notes it received a full service from Ruf North America in July 2025.

If this Ruf CTR 2 Sport is the 993 you’ve been dreaming of, head over to Monterey, California, on August 14, 2025. Don’t expect to score a bargain, though: Broad Arrow predicts that this Ruf will sell for anywhere between $3 million and $3.5 million, or more than most new hypercars. On one hand, that’s a huge amount of money for an air-cooled 911. On the other hand, this Ruf isn’t any air-cooled 911. Even better, the CTR 2 Sport is rarer than most new hypercars: Ruf built 29 CTR 2s, including 14 Sport models. Just four of those had all-wheel-drive. Put another way, you’re far more likely to spot a Ferrari F80 (799 units planned) in the wild.

What’s perhaps even more telling is that this exact CTR 2 Sport sold for $736,500 in August 2019. Even at $3.5 million, however, this CTR 2 Sport would still be considerably more affordable than the original CTR: The record for that model is over $6 million.

The Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 represents a pivotal moment in Lamborghini’s history as its first hybrid hypercar. Powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine paired with a supercapacitor-based 48-volt electric motor, the Sián produces a total of 819 horsepower—785 from the combustion engine and 34 from the electric system.

This advanced setup enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds, making it the fastest-accelerating Lamborghini at the time of its release. Rather than using traditional lithium-ion batteries, Lamborghini integrated a supercapacitor system, which is significantly lighter and capable of delivering instant power, eliminating shift lag, and aiding regenerative braking.

The Sián’s design is inspired by the iconic Countach, with futuristic elements such as Y-shaped headlights and self-adjusting cooling vanes that activate based on temperature. Only 63 units of the Sián FKP 37 were built, honoring the company’s founding year, and each car was individually tailored through Lamborghini’s Centro Stile.

This particular Sián, with just 208 miles, is finished in Viola Aletheia over Nero Cosmus, featuring copper and purple accents, and includes the $105,216 Carbon Package. It will be offered by RM Sotheby’s on August 15–16 at their Monterey auction with an estimated value of up to $2,800,000.

A 1996 Ferrari F355 GTS, first owned by motoring journalist and TV star Jeremy Clarkson, remains available to buy after failing to sell at auction.

Part of the recent RM Sotheby’s sale at Cliveden House in Buckinghamshire, the targa-topped F355 had a guide price of between £180,000 and £220,000.

However, ‘Jezza’s’ Ferrari failed to find a winning bid, and is now available for £190,000 or the nearest offer. It might be your chance to own one of the best known modern classic Ferraris in Britain.

With its mid-mounted 380hp 3.5-litre V8 engine and six-speed manual gearbox, the F355 is acknowledged as one of Ferrari’s greatest hits.

Having driven an F355 for his 1996 Unleashed on Cars video, Jeremy Clarkson announced that he had to buy one for himself.

He ordered this F355 GTS from the official Maranello Sales dealership in Egham, Surrey, taking ownership in August 1996. At the time, the journalist and TV personality detailed in Top Gear magazine how he agonised over deciding the final spec.

In the end, Clarkson opted for classic Rosso Corsa paintwork, which is combined with Rosso carpets and Crema leather upholstery. Sports seats with Rosso inserts, a rare option, were also added.

The F355 appeared in Clarkson’s writing throughout the 1990s, covering around 6,000 miles in his first four years of ownership. In 2000, it was given away in a prize draw for the Sunday Times.

Owned by its lucky winner for three years, the F355 passed to a third keeper until 2013. Its most recent owner treated the car to fastidious maintenance, with an invoice for £9,345 paid in May this year.

With 14,899 miles on its odometer at the time of auction, the F355 comes with a history file detailing Clarkson’s ownership, along with relevant newspaper and magazine cuttings.

For those interested to own a Ferrari with a fascinating ownership story, enquiries about the F355 can be made to RM Sotheby’s.

Introduced in 2018, Ferrari’s Icona Series pays tribute to the brand’s racing heritage with limited-production models for top clients. The first models, the Monza SP1 and SP2, featured barchetta styling inspired by 1950s racers and paired a front-mounted V-12 with rear-wheel drive. In 2021, Ferrari added the Daytona SP3, the first closed-body Icona, echoing the design of 1960s endurance cars like the 330 P3/4. Powered by a 6.5-liter mid-mounted V-12 with 829 horsepower and a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, the SP3 achieves 0–100 km/h in 2.85 seconds.

The Ferrari Daytona SP3 was originally limited to just 599 production units, each pre-sold to Ferrari’s top-tier clients. However, there was an additional chassis added to the limited production run, and this example, 599+1, will be auctioned by RM Sotheby’s next month with an estimated value of $3,500,000.

This one-of-a-kind example was added to the exclusive lineup with bespoke features created by Ferrari’s Tailor Made program. Finished in a striking combination of exposed carbon fiber and Giallo Modena, it features Ferrari’s first-ever full-length logotype livery across a road car. Black carbon-composite elements on the front splitter, side skirts, and rear diffuser heighten its aggressive presence, complemented by the 20-inch front and 21-inch rear forged diamond rims with Giallo Modena calipers.

Inside, the SP3 features innovative recycled tire-based upholstery, yellow seatbelts, and Prancing Horse headrest embroidery. A unique checkered carbon fiber motif decorates the instrument binnacle and steering column, referencing Ferrari’s F1 heritage. The Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel includes F1-style paddle shifters and standard-color stitching. A silver plaque marks its singular “599+1” designation.

This final SP3 is being sold to benefit The Ferrari Foundation’s educational initiatives, including a partnership with Save the Children to rebuild a fire-damaged school in California. The SP3 is offered with special accessories, including the Maranello Clutch, Ferrari window sticker, manuals, tool kit, and car cover.

This Tailor Made Ferrari Daytona SP3 is a pinnacle of Ferrari's bespoke customization program. The vehicle features a striking two-tone carbon-fibre finish and Giallo Modena body with front splitter, sills and rear diffuser in glossy black. The unique finish is complemented by the Ferrari logotype in Giallo Modena occupying the complete upper body, marking the first time the logo is applied to a livery in this way. The interior showcases an innovative fabric derived from recycled tires, with a unique Prancing Horse motif. The dashboard and the steering wheel column are made of a type of carbon fibre used in Formula 1, further enhancing the vehicle's connection to Ferrari's racing pedigree.

This exceptional vehicle will be numbered 599+1 as it is an addition to the already sold-out allocation of the Ferrari Daytona SP3; the car will be fitted with a plaque testifying to its unique status, with all proceeds from the auction of the car going towards Ferrari’s various educational initiatives. The funds raised will be dedicated to elevating educational projects to global standards, continuing Ferrari's long-standing tradition of giving back to the community.

All proceeds from the car’s auction will benefit The Ferrari Foundation, a 501(c) (3) public charity recognized by the IRS, for a variety of future educational projects. The most recent initiative has been a collaboration with Save the Children, whereby Ferrari made a significant contribution to help rebuild the Aveson Charter School in Altadena, California, whose campus was tragically destroyed by the Eaton Wildfire earlier this year.

FERRARI DAYTONA SP3
The Ferrari Daytona SP3 is the second car to join the limited edition ‘Icona’ series, paying homage to the mid-rear-engined Ferrari V12 sports prototypes that earned the marque its unparalleled motor sport status. Limited to 599 examples only and powered by a 6.5 litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine, the Ferrari Daytona SP3 delivers a massive 840 cv, capable of launching the car from zero to 100 km/h in 2.85 seconds and zero to 200 km/h in 7.4 seconds. Such combination of power and design makes the Ferrari Daytona SP3 a true icon of Ferrari's engineering prowess and racing heritage.

FERRARI ICONA
The Ferrari Icona series was launched in 2018 with the Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2, which were inspired by the competition barchettas of the 1950s that helped earn the marque its legendary status in motorsport with a string of prestigious victories. The Icona series celebrates Ferrari history by reinterpreting the timeless styling of the marque’s most iconic models using the most innovative materials and technologies available today. The idea of taking inspiration from a particular time in history, which lies at the core of the Icona concept, goes much further than merely reusing styling cues from the past. Rather the aim is to distil the very essence of an era and using it as a spring board to create new concepts that themselves are unique enough to become icons for future generations. The Icona cars all boast exclusive solutions not seen in the rest of the range and are aimed solely at Ferrari’s top clients and collectors, proud ambassadors for the Prancing Horse marque.

The Ferrari 812 Competizione A is the open-top counterpart to the stunning 812 Competizione, offering the same extreme performance with the added thrill of open-air driving. As a tribute to Ferrari’s heritage of drop-top supercars, the Competizione A combines 70 years of racing expertise with advanced engineering. Built for Ferrari’s most devoted collectors, it is one of only 599 Aperta units being produced, alongside 999 hardtop Competizione models.

Under the hood, both cars house a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine delivering 819 horsepower and 512 lb-ft of torque. The Competizione A accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.85 seconds and tops out at 211 mph. While the standard Competizione uses vortex generators on a fixed aluminum rear panel to boost downforce, the Aperta replaces this with a bridge element and integrated rear wing that maintains aerodynamic efficiency despite its open design. The Aperta also features a removable carbon fiber roof, roll hoops, and a reshaped tail for optimal airflow.

Set to cross the block at RM Sotheby’s Monterey 2025 auction, this 2024 Ferrari 812 Competizione Aperta is an extraordinary example of Ferrari’s open-top, front-engined V-12 legacy. With only 41.8 miles on the odometer at the time of cataloging, it is expected to fetch between $2.2 and $2.4 million.

This example is finished in Rosso Mugello with optional Giallo Fly transverse stripes and a Cuoio Alcantara interior. It includes over $40,000 in factory options, pushing its original MSRP to $743,227. Highlights include a carbon fiber roof panel, Scuderia shields, front lift system, adaptive LED headlights, carbon aero components, forged wheels with yellow-striped Pirelli tires, and red brake calipers. The interior is equally detailed with large racing seats, Cavallino-embroidered headrests, Apple CarPlay, a hi-fi audio system, and more.

Sold with owner’s manuals, car cover, battery tender, and the original window sticker, this near-delivery-mileage 812 Competizione A offers a rare chance to own an exquisite, highly optioned example of Ferrari’s most advanced front-engined convertible to date.
