McLaren is celebrating a milestone as this week’s Monaco Grand Prix will mark their 1,000th race start in Formula 1. That’s quite an accomplishment and they’re honoring the occasion by unveiling the Artura 1000GP by McLaren Special Operations.
Limited to ten units, the exclusive supercar features a livery inspired by the MCL40 race car that will be driven by Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri in the principality. As you can see, the model has an orange 1000GP graphic on the hood. It’s joined by similar designs on the mirror caps and rear quarter panels.

Elsewhere, the Artura 1000GP has an orange pinstripe on the front splitter and rear diffuser. Buyers will also find a special metallic papaya plaque inside, which honor’s the “exceptional achievement.”
Like the standard car, the Artura 1000GP is a high-performance plug-in hybrid that combines a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 with an axial flux motor and a 7.4 kWh battery pack. This setup gives the model a combined output of 690 hp (515 kW / 700 PS) and 531 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque.
Thanks to the advanced powertrain, the coupe can rocket from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in three seconds flat, before hitting a top speed of 205 mph (330 km/h). On top of that, the Artura can travel 21 miles (33 km) on electricity alone.
McLaren CEO Nick Collins said, “Racing and road cars have always been shaped by the same mindset at McLaren, and the McLaren Artura 1000GP by MSO celebrates that shared foundation.” He added the model gives “clients a meaningful connection to the MCL40 in a milestone moment.”
