► Seven Nurburgring Edition celebrates track’s 100th birthday
► Limited edition features bespoke Bilstein suspension
► Prices start at £48,995, with only 100 units to be produced
Caterham has revealed a limited edition Seven to celebrate 100 years of the Nurburgring racing circuit. The appropriately-named Seven Nurburgring Edition features bespoke elements designed and engineered to be suitable on the most demanding track in the world – the ‘Green Hell.’
Each car will be based on either a 420R or a 340R, depending on the market. UK cars will be powered by a 2.0 litre Ford Duratec engine producing 210bhp with a five-speed gearbox. 0-60mph time is expected to be 3.8 seconds thanks to a 375bhp/tonne weight ratio.
Bilstein was tasked with developing a bespoke racing suspension at its test facility. While details remain sparse, customers can still anticipate the usual savage track capability and thrilling road driving experience, continuing Caterham’s tradition of super-lightweight sports cars.
Despite no news of the Seven Nurburgring Edition actually undergoing testing at the famed Nurburg-based racing circuit, Caterham unveiled the car to coincide with the 2026 ADAC 24 hours of Nurburgring.
Just 100 units will each contain a unique numbered plaque, and prices start at £48,995 in the UK.
