► Petrol & Pride returns for 2026
► Inclusive car meet at British Motor Museum
► Planned for Sunday 26 July
Petrol and Pride, the inclusive car enthusiast event, is back for its second year and returns on Sunday 26 July 2026.
The car meet is designed to celebrate car culture and queer culture for both members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies alike, with the British Motor Museum reprising its role as the host location. The fact the British Motor Museum is based in Gaydon is not lost upon the event’s organisers – or those who attended the first Petrol & Pride event in 2025.
Event organisers say Petrol & Pride is ‘From Bentleys to Beetles, any car, motorcycle, truck, ice cream van is welcome, whatever its age, brand, value, condition or colour,’ say Petrol & Pride organisers. ‘This is an automotive inclusive event. Which means, yes, even electric and diesel-fuelled ones. Mingle and mix with like-minded people and their wheels, enjoy an ice cream, tour the museum and head back to the M40 after our prize giving at 15:00 with new friends made.’
The event is ‘for all car enthusiasts that are members or allies of the LGTBTQIA+ community – and there are lots of us – to show our collective love for and pride in both our cars and each other,’ says an event spokesperson.
Tickets for the show are priced from £13 per person for exhibitors, while visitor tickets are priced at £18 for each adult, £9 per child or £16 for concessions. Tickets get you access to the museum, allowing you to explore the show as well as what is inside its collection.
The aim for exhibitor cars is to create a huge pride flag much like the one that resulted after last year’s show (pictured above), and prizes will be given out for the ‘butchest’ and ‘gayest’ cars, we well as the ‘best glow up’ – awarded by a panel of event judges.
Proceeds from the event will support the museum, as well form a donation to a LGBTQ+ charity that will be announced soon.
