Porsche Just Built The Brownest 911 GT3 RS Ever

Sonderwunsch built a 911 GT3 RS in Truffle Brown leather and brown carbon fiber, unlike anything else in the range

  • The GT3 RS includes brown-tinted carbon fiber on the hood and roof.
  • Found throughout the cabin is Truffle Brown leather and orange accents.
  • Porsche has also designed brown wheels and fitted orange brake calipers.

The 911 GT3 RS used to be the preserve of Porsche collectors who knew exactly what the badge stood for. The 992-generation version has expanded that audience considerably, helped along by aggressive aero and a steady drip of Instagram exposure that has dragged the fabled model into the mainstream.

Each 911 GT3 RS leaving Porsche’s factory is special, but some are more remarkable than others. This is one of them. A collaboration between Porsche Centre Geneva and the Sonderwunsch department in Zuffenhausen, it wears a finish that would be unusual on any 911, let alone an RS.

The chosen paint is Macadamia Metallic from the Paint to Sample range, a deep shade of brown with hints of silver in direct light. Contrasting with this paint are exposed carbon fiber parts infused with brown pigments, as well as Pastel Orange rings within the darkened LED headlights.

The same orange thread runs underneath the rear wing and across the end plates. The wheels are painted to match the Macadamia Metallic bodywork, with orange brake calipers completing the scheme.

Truffle Brown Cabin to Match

Just as much work has gone into making the interior distinct as the exterior. There’s an abundance of Truffle Brown leather, in addition to Pastel Orange piping, stitching, door pulls, air vents, and a 12 o’clock marker on the steering wheel. Sonderwunsch branding on the carbon fiber side sills serves as a reminder that this is no ordinary Porsche.

There’s no word on how much all of these special touches cost, but they obviously weren’t cheap. However, if you have the money to afford a brand new Porsche 911 GT3 RS in the first place, there’s a good chance you have enough money to pay for some distinctive options. After all, a car as wild as this deserves to turn just as many heads as a 1,000 hp hypercar.
