  • Infiniti will unveil the 2027 QX65 later this month.
  • It’s a two-row, crossover coupe version of the QX60.
  • Four-cylinder comes at launch, but a V6 could follow.

Auto show season has been one disappointment after another as Detroit was a snooze fest and Chicago offered nothing of note. While March typically ushers in Geneva excitement, that show no longer exists.

Things are finally looking up as the New York Auto Show returns in April with a handful of big debuts. While we’ve already known Volkswagen will use the event to unveil the redesigned Atlas, Infiniti has just announced plans to introduce the 2027 QX65 in the Big Apple.

Set to debut ahead of the show on March 26, the crossover coupe aims to evoke memories of the FX and was previewed by a concept at Monterey Car Week in 2025. The darkened teaser image doesn’t reveal much, but cranking up the brightness uncovers a familiar front end that recalls the QX60.

Despite the similarities, the QX65 adopts split lighting units and a unique front bumper. We can also see a revised lower intake and a more pronounced grille.

Bigger changes occur aft of the A-pillar as the model has a rakish roofline and a compact greenhouse. They’ll be joined by an angular rear window and what appears to be unique taillights.

Since the model is essentially a two-row version of the QX60, we can expect a familiar cabin with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment system with Google built-in. Higher-end variants will likely have quilted seats, black open-pore ash wood trim, and a Klipsch premium audio system.

At launch, the model will be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine developing 268 hp (200 kW / 272 PS) and 286 lb-ft (387 Nm) of torque. It should be connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission and an available all-wheel drive system.

However, a recent report suggested the model will soon offer a 3.5-liter V6 with around 300 hp (224 kW / 304 PS). There have also been rumors about a possible Red Sport variant further down the road.

We’ll find out more details later this month, but Infiniti has already confirmed the crossover coupe will arrive at dealers early this summer.
