Motorists with a driveway are among those who can save hundreds of pounds as part of a new offer. Andersen EV and Octopus Energy have partnered up to provide up to six months of free electric car home charging.
Anyone purchasing an Andersen device from 1 March 2026 can take advantage of the deal, with motorists set to enjoy major savings. Andersen EV claims that the offer represents the equivalent of around 4,370 miles of free driving and would equate to around £234 in electricity cost savings.
The deal will be through Intelligent Octopus Go, a smart EV tariff from Octopus Energy designed to optimise charging during off-peak periods.
David Martell, CEO of Andersen EV, explained: “The March plate change remains one of the most significant moments in the UK motoring calendar and this offer will help encourage more motorists to make the switch to electric for their next car. This offer builds on our existing partnership with Octopus, which has already helped deliver thousands of low-cost miles for EV drivers across the UK.”
According to Andersen, the cost saving is calculated on the comparison between Intelligent Octopus Go’s 7.5p per kWh charging rate and the current standard electricity rate of 24.67p. Meanwhile, Andersen claims the free miles will provide valuable support to many new EV owners about to begin charging at home for the first time.
They explained that their new deal also follows the UK Government announcement that it will expand EV charger installation grants. These new grants will cover almost half the typical cost, with up to £500 made available to successful applicants.
Richard Sephton, Head of EV Partnerships at Octopus Energy, added: "Andersen is accelerating the EV transition by bundling the cost-saving power of Intelligent Octopus Go into its charger range.
“By offering this as a bundled solution, EV drivers will unlock hundreds of pounds in annual savings that smart tariffs provide, delivering a premium charging experience that pays for itself."
