► Mitsubishi L200 pick-up prices confirmed
► First model to return to the UK
► Prices start at £36,295 (ex. VAT)
Mitsubishi Motors has confirmed prices for its first model to return to the UK market: the seventh-generation L200 pick-up.
The brand says this iteration promises to be as durable and as decent off road as the generations before, launching with two-seat Commercial and double-cab specs. The double-cab model will once again take on trucks like the Ford Ranger and VW Amarok.
In classic L200 fashion, the trim options are Titan and Barbarian – priced from £36,295 and £39,995 respectively. Both use a 2.4-litre twin-turbo diesel, four-wheel drive and a six-speed auto with the upper Barbarian model including Mitsubishi’s ‘Super Select 4WD-II’ system. Mitsubishi claims either one can also tow up to 3.5 tonnes and carry a tonne in the cargo area.
This L200 marks the start of the brand’s return to the UK, with other models likely including the latest generation of Outlander PHEV and the potential for cars like the Colt and Eclipse Cross to return, too.
Mitsubishi says the first L200 models will land in the UK in May.
