- Kia introduces the 2026 K4 sedan with minor price increases.
- Base price climbs $200 to a new starting point of $22,190.
- Higher-end trims gain new tech and upgraded interior gear.
The Kia K4 has been a hit with consumers as Americans have snapped up 126,919 units through November. That makes it the brand’s second best-selling vehicle behind the Sportage.
A large part of this success can be chalked up to affordable pricing, which is climbing for 2026. However, the increase is minor as consumers will only have to shell out an extra $200.

That’s not too bad and it means the entry-level K4 LX starts at $22,190. However, the only change appears to be the elimination of two-tone upholstery as cabins in the LX, LXS, and EX are now monotone black.
Speaking of the EX, it starts at $24,390 for an increase of $400. On the bright side, customers will find newly standard SynTex upholstery, heated front seats, and a rear armrest.
The $25,390 K4 GT-Line also gains SynTex upholstery and a few new extras. The $1,200 Premium Package adds a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a heated steering wheel. Furthermore, cars equipped with the $900 Sunroof Package can get a new red and black interior for an extra $295.
Last but not least, the $28,290 GT-Line Turbo has a revamped Technology Package that includes a new heated steering wheel.
Two Engines With Up To 190 HP
Most models are equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine developing 147 hp (110 kW / 149 PS) and 132 lb-ft (179 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a continuously variable transmission that enables the sedan to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in a leisurely 9.6 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 124 mph (200 km/h).
If that’s not fast enough, the range-topping K4 GT-Line Turbo has a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder with 190 hp (142 kW / 193 PS) and 195 lb-ft (264 Nm) of torque. It’s paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission, which enables the car to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in eight seconds flat. The model also has a higher top speed of 130 mph (209 km/h).
Since no one is buying the K4 for its performance, we’ll remind you the entry-level variant comes equipped with LED headlights and covered 16-inch steelies. The model also sports air conditioning, a fixed rear bench, a four-speaker audio system, a 4-inch cluster display, and a 12.3-inch infotainment system.
Despite being pretty basic, the K4 LX has Forward Collision Avoidance, High Beam Assist, and Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go. They’re joined by Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Rear Occupant Alert, and a Rear View Monitor with Parking Guidelines.
Kia didn’t mention availability, but it appears the 2026 K4 is already on dealer lots.
