Blokes Fork Out TWICE as Much as Women on Speeding Fines

New data reveals 21% of male drivers shelled out over £1,000 in speeding fines last year, dwarfing women's average spend and confirming lads love the lead foot.

A fresh survey lays it bare: 21 percent of UK male drivers coughed up more than £1,000 in speeding fines over the past year. Women? Their average hit sits at a tame £324, while blokes average £804 more than double.

Men snag 68 percent of all speeding tickets, dominating serious offences by 73 percent. Ages 25 to 54 lead the pack, with company car cowboys racking up violations at triple the rate of private wheels.

Cops handed out 9.6 million penalty points in 2024 alone, mostly for speeding. Fines start at £100 with three points, but court can slam £1,000 on roads or £2,500 on motorways.

Lads, ease off the throttle!
