Leave 1 item in your car overnight to banish condensation from windows

The season for frozen windscreens and condensation is finally here which sadly means many drivers are going to have to deal with the issue on a daily basis.

Many drivers are bracing themselves for a season of de-icing the car. Sadly the problem of frozen windscreens happens each year around winter, but it doesn't have to be frustrating anymore.

Now while most people rely on spray to defrost their cars, what happens to the moisture in the car then? Well that's when condensation appears and luckily you don't have to spend ages wiping away the windows anymore.

Condensation happens when warm, moist air comes into contact with a colder surface. This then cools down, causing the vapour to turn into liquid water droplets on the surface.

While it's frustrating to deal with, one man has shared the ultimate hack to minimise the stress each morning. Over on TikTok, user @360_dimez showed a clip of how cars are going to look in the UK soon.

It shows a frozen windscreen with the words: "POV: Everyone in the UK in two weeks," written above "How girls really defrost their cars."

The video then sees the driver using their wiper blades on the windscreen to hopefully scrap off the ice, but the TikTok user has another trick in mind.

He said: "I used to do the same to get my windows clear but then all that moisture on the inside of my windshield would show up and yeah the water does go away after a while but that moisture stays in the car.

"And if that build up of moisture does not get sorted it can turn into mould growth in the car. I didn't want that to happen so I got these dehumidifier bags you just put on your dashboard overnight and that's soaks up all the wetness and condensation."

The next morning he claimed there was no moisture on his windscreen and said it was "completely dry".

And what's smart about these bags are you'd know they're working as the blue spot turns pink which means it's absorbed the moisture.

It's also great because you can also reuse the bags by popping them into the microwave for a few minutes.

He concluded: "I've been okay with just using one but they do come as a two pack and I got mine for £20 but they're on TikTok for £12 right now, these will probably sell out quick."

Meanwhile, you can find these specific bags for £12 on Amazon.
