Ringbrothers’ ‘Kingpin’: The 800-HP 1969 Mustang Mach 1 That Looks Like John Wick’s Ride

Wisconsin’s Ringbrothers have crafted a sinister 800-horsepower Mustang Mach 1 dubbed Kingpin, blending brutal power, razor-sharp handling, and jaw-dropping custom details into a resurrected classic muscle beast ready to dominate SEMA 2025.

Ringbrothers, the legendary custom muscle car builders from Wisconsin, have done it again this time building an 800 horsepower beast: a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 they call "Kingpin." Unveiled at SEMA 2025, Kingpin is a jaw-dropping blend of classic Americana and cutting-edge forging, killer performance, and detailed bodywork.

Under the hood sits a mighty Wegner Motorsports 5.0-liter Coyote V8, pumped full of boost by a Whipple supercharger to crank out well over 800 horses. Power roars through a Bowler Transmissions Carbon Edition six-speed manual gearbox, delivering raw, thrilling power to the rear wheels. The engine's roar is amplified with custom-fabricated headers and a crisp Flowmaster Super 44 stainless exhaust, crafting a soundtrack to match its menacing looks.

The chassis is a highly reworked Roadster Shop Fast Track Stage III, converted back into a unibody for stiffness and safety, chopped wider at the front and rear, and stretched forward by 1.5 inches for perfect balance. A custom roll cage adds rigidity and protection for spirited drives.

Handling gets serious with Roadster Shop independent rear suspension, Fox RS coilovers adjustable for ride and control, massive staggered Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires wrapped around HRE Vintage Series wheels, and confident Brembo six-piston front and four-piston rear brakes. This Mustang demands respect when cornering or burying the throttle.

The exterior dazzles with a BASF Bootleg Black paint job, custom carbon-fiber bodywork adorning the front lip, hood, grille surround, rear diffuser, and quarter panels. Inside, it’s a modern-retro cocktail with black leather upholstery, Dakota Digital digital gauges, a custom Ringbrothers "ENYO" crushed-carbon steering wheel, machined billet shift lever, and a Vintage Air climate system for comfort.

Over 5,500 hours went into perfecting this masterpiece. It’s the kind of build that honors the Mustang’s muscle heritage while smashing expectations with modern tech and razor-sharp engineering. Kingpin is a menacing, well-balanced weapon built for those who demand classic muscle performance with no compromises.
