A Look Back at Charles Leclerc's Most Thrilling Career Moments

Charles Leclerc’s journey through Formula 1 has been a thrilling rollercoaster of speed, skill, and sheer determination. From his early days sweeping through the junior formulas with near-flawless performances to exploding onto the F1 scene in 2018, Leclerc has carved out a reputation as one of the sport’s brightest stars.

His first season with Sauber was a showcase of raw talent, regularly out-qualifying and out-racing more experienced teammates. Ferrari snapped him up in 2019, thrusting him into the spotlight as Sebastian Vettel’s teammate. Leclerc wasted no time making an impact his maiden win at the Belgian Grand Prix was followed by a victory at the iconic Italian Grand Prix in Monza, ending Ferrari’s nine-year drought there and instantly earning him the nickname “il Predestinato,” meaning the Predestined.

Despite Ferrari’s struggles in 2020 and 2021, Leclerc remained a fierce competitor and steely finisher. The 2022 season was a showcase of promise, as he notched multiple wins and podiums, finishing runner-up in the Drivers’ Championship to Max Verstappen his best title fight yet.

2023 and 2024 brought the highs and lows of elite racing. He shattered records with pole positions, including a stunning six consecutive poles at Silverstone and assertive wins like the historic 2024 Monaco Grand Prix—the first Monégasque winner in over 90 years. Yet, his career has also been marked by near misses, strategic slips, and a few heartbreaking retirements.

What stands out most is Leclerc’s uncanny ability to deliver scintillating performances in tough conditions whether it’s mastering Monaco’s tight streets, battling wheel-to-wheel with legends, or clawing through the pack after setbacks. Beyond the track, Leclerc races with a personal fire, dedicating his success to his late father and mentor Jules Bianchi.

The best is yet to come.
