Sunday’s race was seen by 1,409,000 on average with a rating of 0.79. The numbers were reported by Adam Stern.
The race was the second most-watched sporting event of the weekend. It was second to the NFL game in Dublin, Ireland hosting the Viking vs Steelers.
The race viewing audience is down significantly over last year. The 2024 event saw 1.794M viewers.
Dale Earnhardt Jr spoke on the ratings via his Dale Jr Download podcast, “I kept hearing, the NFL and we need to move out of their way, and we need to end our season.
“I don’t buy that (expletive). We aren’t doing great right now but we don’t need to leave the room. We need to get our shit together and we need to make our way back toward some respectable numbers while still racing whenever the hell we feel like racing.”
