Like in F1, aerodynamics play a starring role. New active louvres above the front wheels, a larger front diffuser, reshaped mirrors, and a carbon lip spoiler improve balance. The real highlight? A Drag Reduction System (DRS) straight out of Formula 1. At the press of a button, the rear wing flattens to reduce drag, pushing top speed past 320 km/h. Power is fed through a six-speed sequential racing gearbox mounted in a rear transaxle layout, connected by a carbon torque tube for maximum rigidity. Fully adjustable motorsport dampers and four-stage stabilizers ensure the GT2 Edition W16 can be dialed in for any circuit, while ABS, traction control, and advanced safety equipment mirror AMG’s GT customer racing cars.

Every car carries a unique badge, “1 of 30”, on the console, reinforcing its exclusivity. And in a personal touch, the door sills are hand-signed by Kimi Antonelli, the young Italian Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 driver and patron of the car.

The handover of each GT2 Edition W16 will be as exclusive as the car itself. Owners will take delivery during a private event at a European racetrack, complete with driving sessions, a technical briefing, and a meet & greet with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team. Each car comes with a custom AMG car cover, plus racing gear from OMP and BELL Helmets styled after the official F1 team kit.
