Monte Carlo Rally organizers are plotting the return of the Monaco Circuit super-special stage next year for the first time since 2008.
Once again the opening round of the 2026 World Rally Championship (January 18-25), the route has been presented for the 94th edition of the event.
And the big news is the proposed return of the Monaco Circuit stage as the last stage on Saturday.
That means the rally will be relocated in the principality on Saturday instead of Sunday to incorporate the super-special stage, which will use the lower section of the Formula 1 circuit.
That plan is “currently under consideration”, but the rest of the route has been confirmed.
Seventeen stages will comprise the 2026 Monte Carlo Rally, including a brand-new stage on Saturday (La Bréole / Bellaffaire), a bruising 38-mile opening leg and a longer Sunday than this year.
